Bottle poured into Dixie cup

A: Nice brackish brown color fair head on the beer

S: almost nothing on the nose except some bread and corn grain smell almost like smelling an old AAL

T: bready with an almost sour old beer taste to much in the way of taste reminds a lot of a Macro beer Budweiser

M: surprising amount of carbonation lays sour on the tongue on the finish

O: unless this was an old beer this was a horrible beer and I poured half of it out

Lite and refreshing. A perfect dark wheat brew. We love it down here in The Bahamas!

Review according to BJCP2008 guidelines (style 15B). Bottle 50 cl - batch L041107. AROMA: faint wheat, caramel and vanilla notes. no hop aroma. APPEARANCE: dark brown color and opaque. thick tanned head with good retention. TASTE: some faint inappropriate roasted notes. faint wheat background. low bitterness. finishes somewhat sweet. no hop flavours. PALATE: medium-light body with some creamy sensation. moderate carbonation. OVERALL: a not very malty nor fruity nor spicy weizen.

In the aroma is rich bread, bread crust, molasses, and a touch of raisin. The body is nearly opaque and very dark brown with mahogany highlights. The head is a creamy khaki. The flavor at first includes dark, berry-like roasted malt along with a slightly sour, bread crust-like quality. The fruitiness lightens over time and becomes more sweet and tart alongside the roasted malt. The malt lingers and leaves a grainy, bread-like aftertaste. It's quite carbonated and frothy but crisp and medium-light in body.

Quite tasty and refreshing. It's very crisp and highly carbonated, which sharpens the otherwise smooth and rich maltiness. It's definitely more dunkel than weissbier, but style aside, it's still really delicious.

Purchased at the LCBO for just under $4.00 for a 500ml bottle. Served at 4deg C in a tulip

A- 4.25- Nice and dark!! Pours a nice head that is gone in no time.

S- 3.75- A bit lacking. Can smell the malt and caramel

T- 4.0- Very good. Super light for the ABV. Malty and sweet.

M- 4.0- Dry and a lot of carbonation.

O- 4.11- Nice beer. Would buy again. Refreshing but dark

Food Pairing

This nice little beer went well with...... Rabbit stew. Brazed then root veggies in the oven you go!!

Enjoy
