Erdinger weissbier is really about a safe, mild mannered hefeweizen as I've ever had.
It pours a cloudy golden colour with a large poofy white head. It looks good. Small points lost on color and retention.
The smell is really subdued. Slightly sweet banana is all that's present. When having your first sip the first thing you might notice about the taste is how light it is. There is some sweetness but it's light and replaced by what I would describe as overly aggressive pinpoint carbonation. The aftertaste is strange wash of dullness. I guess it could be best described palate cleansing?
Mouthfeel is not that great due to the carbonation. The light taste might be good for some but I would think for most people here it would be a bit lacking.
