Picked up a bottle of this at the Whole Foods in Vienna, VA.
Poured a clear, golden color with a thick, bellowing head that left behind quite a bit of lacing. Aromas of bananas, cloves, and just a hint of citrus. Crisp fruit flavors are matched by bread/grain like texture and smoothness. Very clean and refreshing with a bitter finish. Not as acidic as others in this style, which is a good thing. Flavorful and refreshing; a very good hefe.

This came as a high recommendation from who I assume is the beer stocker at Ward's Market here in Gainesville. Not to poo poo a suggestion from a fellow beer enjoyer I decided to give it a go. Served it slightly chilled in my Duvel chalice. Poured sort of a sulhpur color with a wee head. Smell was faint but there, wheat, banana, lemon zest, cloves. Taste was of a typical German weizen, banana, cloves, lemon, hint of cherry, little yeasty. Not the best weizen I've had but then I have to say "Hast du Lust auf ein Beir?"

This one pours hazy orange with a white head that sticks around for a little while. The smell is of orange peel and esters. The taste follows the nose. I taste like esters and citrus. It has a good mouthfeel. Moderate carbonation. Its a decent drinkable beer but nothing impressive. I would choose at least two other brands of the same style before I touch this one again. Ayinger & Hacker-Pschorr blow this one out of the water.

Palish gold color, appropriately cloudy for the style. Small white head with fairly poor head retention.

Aroma seemed off. Caught a whiff of what seemed to be a plastic-like phenolic compound early, and some fruity sweetness later. Not the ideal phenol/ester character for the style.

Banana ester sweetness, offset by hop bitterness. Clove phenols a bit lacking. Wheat character lacking. Finishes very dry - carbonation caused or possibly a bit of oxidation.

High carbonation and low to medium body. Dry finish was a bit harsh.

Overall lacking in flavor, and perhaps a bit beyond peak. Aside from high carbonation, really lacked the ideal qualities of a Hefe-Weizen.

Hazzy orange-yellow pour or semi-dark amber depending on the lighting, dense two-finger bleached-white head that faded slowly and laced well. Wheat, yeast, some malts, and plenty more wheat on the nose. A sort of citrus on the tongue along with the decent what bread overtones, very light spice feeling. A mediocre hoppiness finishes you off. The feel is a bit too acidic IMO but it's still quite drinkable.

I haven't had this one in awhile, and I'm sad to say its not nearly as good as I remembered it. I drank it from an impressive looking Euro-style bottle, poured into a Weizen glass.

A - A cloudy Yellow color, leaving a small white head.

S - Very mild almost non existence smell.

T - The taste was dull. Not much going on here at all.

MF/D - A very uninteresting Hefe Wizen. I could almost accept this from an American Hefe Wizen, but not from a German product. With all the other choices out there I would not go out of my way this one.

Poured from a 500ml bottle into my erdinger weisse glass.

Pours a hazy orange honey color with moderate clarity for a hefeweizen. Has a huge 3finger head that recedes quickly leaving moderate lacing. The aroma is faint. Small wheat prescence. Not much of a yeasty aroma. The flavor is flat, boring and not like German hefeweizens I have had. Really more like a blend of a hefeweizen and a helles lager. Mouthfeel is flat, little carbonation or acidic spike to wake the palate up like other hefeweizens do. Not my cup of tea. Easy to drink, not a good example of a hefeweizen but easy to drink.

Beer poured a cloudy pale yellow. Aroma of lemon, clove, spices and bread. Taste was spicy with cloves. Slightly sour with a clean peppery finish, dry. Mouthfeel was slightly astringent. Light in body. I longed for a little more sweetness from this beer. It was good but not outstanding.

500ml bottle poured into a 22.3oz weizen glass.

A - I thought I poured this rather normally, but this head is bigger than my fist... Super fluffy, bone white in color. The beer is a really hazy gradient of thick dark orange to a lighter straw yellow. Spotty lacing.

S - Wheat and cloves upfront. I know this is my fourth review today, but I smell ketchup here. Some nice spices here, alongside the expected clove, banana, and citrus. Coriander and orange give it a refreshing characteristic. Complex and enjoyable.

T - Starts off with a punch of citrus and clove, but finishes with a grainy macro lager feel at first. Distinct taste cotton candy in the aftertaste. I feel like I'm trying to taste something that isn't here. The light fruits and general refreshing flavor profile here are nice and all, but this sort of feels like a boring old lager, and the simple grainy taste here doesn't help at all. Maybe some grapes and bubblegum. As others mentioned, not much yeast here at all.

M - Really smooth feel in the carbonation, and has a nice texture to it. The body feels about medium, it's got some chew, but still remains light and refreshing.

D - Decent flavor, with limited complexities, but enjoyable nonetheless. I'm rather new to hefeweizens, but this one still seemed a little off to me.

Poured into glass with a thick and foamy white head which quickly settles into a thick lacing. Color is that of a typical hefeweizen; a pale cloudy gold.

It smells naturally, of wheat. Banana and lemon aromas as well, plus somewhat of a yeast smell.

Wheaty, with a spicy and tarty citrus taste followed by a mildly bitter hops finish. Good, but nothing special, though it loses a bit because of the lingering yeasty and bitter aftertaste.

Light and sharp mouthfeel, and very crisp and refreshing as well. Average hefeweizen, though not bad it does nothing to stand out either. Worth a try, but don't go out of your way for it.

I actually went back to the bar to confirm they had given me the right beer, that the taps weren't mixed up or anything. Pretty disappointing is an understatement. None of those banana/ bubblegum notes, just a hint of clove. Couldn't believe this was from the same brewery that gives us Pikantus. I exaggerate. It's not shithouse but it just doesn't deliver all those characteristics you expect from a reputable German hefe. Even the head and lacing were lacklustre. A decently put together beer but a boring as batshit hefe.

Pours a cloudy golden-wheat with a white bubbly head. The head attenuates very quickly. The bouquet is mild Belgian yeast and banana. The mouthfeel is crisp with some molecular stabbing. Very pilsneresque, but with a very light mild Belgian flavor. Not great, but drinkable.
