500ml bottle poured into weizen glass. best by 12/12.
a: hazy orange color with a three finger white head. dissipates to a half finger within a minute.
s: lots of light orange aromas and lemon. very pleasant; not too many spices going on. bit of a wheaty note as well but the citrus dominates.
t: a solid wheaty note to the beer, not too much banana/clove at all, which i would expect, and not very much of the orange/lemon aroma in the flavor. strong carbonation but a bit watery in flavor.
o: a competent hefeweizen. frankly, though, i can think of a half dozen other german breweries that make a widely available hefeweizen, all of which i would pick up before this.

Hazy, dirty, apricot blonde. Almost nothing in the way of the banana/clove yeast profile requisite for the style. Easy drinking, mild bitterness, with a thick wheatiness and hit of grass on the finish. Probably the worst of the hefeweizens produced by the big German breweries. It's a style that's hard to do well, and Erdinger has yet to figure it out, but at least they date their bottles.

Taste - Interesting. A very light banana crosses my palate but
otherwise unlike most other hefeweissens. Reminds me more of an American wheat.
Overall - Not bad. It wasn't what I was expecting though, and if I were to go off of hefeweissens I've had, I'd call it a pale imitation. On its own merits, I could see myself drinking it again.

Served into the Erdinger glass that commemorates its 125th anniversary (quite a cool weissglass).
A nice clear translucent yellow with topped with an incredible head that stays around for a little while.
The smell is quite a turn down, can't get nothing but what seems to be some faint fruity odor.
The tatse is just OK for what it is, a nice carbonation makes it quite drinkable.
Overall an under the mean Weissbier, nothing to do with the Erdinger Dunkelweiss an outstanding brew.

Had a bottle of Erdinger's Weiss beer whilst at the Atlantis Hotel on Palm Island outside of Dubai. The beer poured a clear yellow will big head that laced slightly. The smell was slight spice and floral. The taste was a good beer with tone of floral notes. The mouthfeel was lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall a decent beer.

Hazy straw yellow to look at with a skinny skinny white head, you'd expect the foam to be much thicker given all the ubiquitous beading. Slightly carbonic to the taste there is a sort of pleasant sweetness which doesn't fully lead to the middle, end or aftertaste. Instaead there's a slightly inflated body and a hollowness on the tongue which tends to dominate. Pleasant but by no means demanding or delicious. A good introduction to weiss beers for the hardcore usual macro feeders.

Poured one and a half Erdinger Hefe-Weizen beers into a 22 oz Weizen glass. Strange that the names are so mixed but all on the same bottle.
A- Straw yellow look with a short lived fluffy white head that falls quickly to a quarter inch ring and froth. So so for a bottle fermented brew.
S- Getting better with strong hints of lemon grass and musky yeast. Cellar torn musk like shelves linger in the nose with sharp hints of citrus peels gone sour. Spicey peppercorns are noticed.
T-M- Lightly sweetened lemon herb flavors upfront. Slightly dulled and watered down for the style IMO but nevertheless a good combo for drinkablity. Aftermath is a floral mix of malty yeast with a dry feel till the last bite.
O- Very drinkable for the style just lacking the hardcore aspects of the true Hefeweizen brew.
