Tasted by a pint at the John Russell Fox, a JDW pub in Andover; served by a non-sparkler pour in a straight imperial pint glass.
A: pale golden in colour, coming with very good clarity, low carbonation, and a frothy off-white head with good retention
S: orangey citrusness and a lightly floral scent of hops abound, on top of lightly salty-sweet malts, mineral-ish sulphur... Clean and hoppy overall.
T: balanced between very pale malts (lager malts?) and bitter citrus-peel-ish hops, going clean and chewy with a good depth & body of wild floral hoppiness and zesty bitterness. Very dry in the end, sometimes coupled with a "mineral" touch.
M&D: clean, naturally soft in carbonation, showing a good hop profile on top of soft malt support. A really refreshing, quaffable and "thirst provoking" Golden Bitter this is.
