Maybe I'm in the minority, but this was so sickeningly sweet. Could not finish. I live in a town with a 25 year old German brewery so I am used to German style beers. This was maybe the least likable beer I've ever had.

Great look and smooth dark color, but man, it was just not for me. Pretty high in strength without the pleasantness of the bitters that you'd expect. Almost had a sweetness to it, but overall the taste was just too strange for me.

.5L bottle served in a snifter.
Looks as expected: clear, dark red-brown with a decent light tan head. Some spotty lacing.
Sweet, malty aroma.
Flavor: too sweet, even in the finish. A bit boozy.
Feel: medium+ body; sticky and syrupy, with medium-light carbonation.

I purchased a bottle of Primator Double Bock Beer in Hollywood/California/USA.
Primator Double Bock Beer has a strong power of sweetness. Primator Double Bock Beer has a powerful power of alcohol. Primator Double Bock Beer has average amounts of carbonation bubbles. People who seek a sweet beer with a profound amount of alcohol should purchase Primator Double Bock Beer.

An extremely boozy taste with a hint of sweet and chocolatey taste. Very hard to finish. Like a sweeter ruinten but more alcoholic and crapier

I'm a doppelbock fan, and I like a few other brews I've tried from this brewer. At $2.39/500 mL I had to pick this up.

Deep brown-red, fizzy tan head that dissipates quickly. Smells like pancake syrup, booze, and dark bread. Tastes like prunes soaked in alcohol, with a sickly sweet finish. Aftertaste is overly sweet. Full, sticky mouthfeel.

At first, I thought this was going to be brutal. But with time (and temperature increase?), it's grown on me. Good thing I have a sweet tooth. This brewery makes better beers than this (Maibock for sure), but for the price point, it's not too shabby.

Poured into a Celebrator pokal. Pours a very dark mahogany brown, nearly opaque, with a fine one finger light tan head with great retention and sheets of lacing. Aroma of caramel malt, dried citron, mild cherry, sweet with slight oxidation and booziness. Flavor is big dried dark and light fruit, caramel, hints of chocolate; sweet and warming. Medium to full bodied with mild syrupy texture. A rich, sweet, flavorful doppelbock that seems to skirt to the edge of cloying. There is a definiate booziness to the finish, but the flavors are rich enough that it finishes with hints of an apertif, which is a nice flavor transition. Not for the sweet adverse, but I liked this a lot more than I expected to. I'd definitely get this again if I were in the mood for sweet malt.

This big beer is just what I expected. Big, bad, sweet and pungent.

It's very dark with little grad or lace. The aroma isn't strong but it is telling of the big sweet taste to come. The taste is a tongue full. It could stand to have more variation, like a smoke flavor or something, but it's just sweet.

The aftertaste is thick and sweet and it doesn't go away. Like other big bocks it leaves me wanting something else, but it's huge and not to expensive.
