Pours black out of a .5l bottle with no head, very little carbonation and a small amount of lacing. A sweet, malty nose and a descent mouth feel. Much lighter than expected from the nose. It has a chalky chocolate, burnt coffee bitterness, with a slight caramel aftertaste. Wouldn't seek it out, but didn't hate it.

500 ml bottle, from Vaaland, Bryne. ABV is 4.7%. Black colour, moderate tan head. Aroma of roasted barley, notes of coffee. Smooth flavour, moderately roasted malts with coffee notes, a slight acidity, medium dry, reasonably bitter finish. Nice enough.

De cervezasdiferentes. En copa Teku. Jugando a God of War 3. Buena pinta inicial, especialmente por el aroma, con unas notas tostadas interesantes. No obstante, es bastante aguada y termina perdiendo fuelle bastante, quedando algo aburrida

This Czech brew pours dark brown almost black color with very big tan head. Foam is strong and long-lasting. It smells roasted malts, toffee and slightly coffee. Taste is fairly malty and I guess it contains lots of carabohemian malt which is my favorite. It tastes chocolate, nut and toffee. Low-med bodied and flat, but oatmeal addition makes it very smooth. Dry and slightly bitter finish. Highly drinkable and very affordable stout.

Nice looking dark body with a thick, long-lasting head.
Roasted coffee smell. The taste is also dominated by the coffee and roasted cereals, with a dry finish.
Good, but not impressive.

Black, pretty opaque, good head. Some chocolate and coffee aroma but also some unpleasant burnt tone, although not too strong. Somewhat lighter body. Fairly drinkable. There are much better stouts but in Czechia this has an advantage of good availability and decent price.

500ml bottle poured into a mug.

Jet black in color with massive soapy tan head with great retention, it doesn’t go anywhere and just slowly dissipates to thin creamy layer on the surface along with some sticky lacing.

Roasted malt with a note of black coffee and dark chocolate, oat with a breadiness-like, citrus and slight acidic from hop.

Roasted malt dominates as typical of Stout with a taste of black coffee, somewhat burnt biscuit, and astringency. Oat and dark bread is also what can be discovered somewhere in the middle of the tasting. Hop is quite zesty with a citrusy and acidic touch. Finish with moderate bitterness derives from both roasted malt and hop.

Medium body with smooth mouthfeel, carbonation is medium with some crisp through the palate, dry finish. It has more body and crispness than typical Irish or English Stout.

Pretty good brew indeed with all what you expect from Stout.

I liked everything, the only thing with which very much overdone it a lot of sweetness in the taste, it there with a large bust, I would have definitely reduced by half !!!

Served cold from 500ml bottle into Veltins pilsner mug.

L) Black, opaque with slight red tinge. Nice just off-white dense head.

S) Served cold, so muted. Slight roasted malt.

T) Hmmmm. A bit of rauchbier-like smoke, which is way random. After that, light roasted malt. Different!

F) Light for a stout, the smoke is a different angle for a 'stout' for sure.

O) A Czech 'stout' that appears to have been smoked. This is one to drink for those looking for all the beer world has to offer. As it happens it is a nicely balanced dark beer that goes down nice and easy on a warm day, but you can appreciate that the brewery has attempted something a little bit different.
