A 330ml bottle with a BB of Nov 2014. Acquired a while back from a supermarket. The label calls it a craft lager brewed with new world hops.

A: Poured into a tulip. A bright golden hue with faint floating sediment and light carbonation. Yields a large head of frothy white foam that lasts for a few minutes before subsiding and disappearing.

S: Aroma of light malt with hints of stewed leaves, husks, subtle earthiness and faint overdone veg. Unimpressive.

T: Tastes of light malt with a dry finish. Notes of light grain, earthiness, stewed leaves, vague husks, faint overcooked veggies and a twinge of cardboard. Highly attenuated, followed by a restrained, leafy bitterness upon swallowing.

M: Mouthfeel is smooth, tingly and dry, with soft carbonation and decent body for the style. Slightly astringent, accompanied by an aftertaste of acrid stewed leaves and weak malt.

O: Not one to be proud of - a shame as Fullers make many fine brews. Looks alright, however the aroma and flavour are bland and vaguely unpleasant. Little hop action to speak of and lurking off-notes spoil the character. Body is OK. Not especially memorable; no need to seek it out.

Pours amber with a quickly fading head.
Nose shows honey, floral notes, hay, soft grainy notes and spicy hops.
Flavours include more of the same. Hay, grainy malt, soft sweetness and spicy hops.

Brazen yellow labelled bottle from a normally conservative brewer.

Golden colour with a nice long lasting frothy head.

Light hops to the nose - expected more.

Nice citrusy flavour but with a pleasant malt to balance. Some spice.

Well carbonated - fresh and crisp.

A good lager at the end of a hard working summers day.

33ml. bottle. Poured in to a lager glass. Very small white head. Blonde colour. You can smell citrus things. Good carbonation with a light body. Finally i can say that it's an fresh and good lager for summer time.

Nice one.
Pours a clear golden color with an average white head.
The aroma is pleasantly fruity and citrusy and goes well with some hoppy smell.
The taste is sweet at first, followed by nicely balanced, creamy-like and filling body, finishing with decent bittery taste.
Aftertaste is slightly bitter. Very nice surprise.

I was lucky enough to be given a sample of this beer by a supplier here in Hong Kong.

Poured from a 330ml bottle into a 350ml beer glass.

A dark yellow/golden colour with a good, loose white head that disappeared fairly quickly.

Good on the nose but not particularly expressive. Mostly citrus; orange and lemon, some bready notes. Faintly aromatic.

The pleasant palate produces faint bread and biscuity notes and some malt. Good taste but again not particularly expressive. Mildly hoppy finish. Quite short.

Medium bodied with light and tight carbonation. Nice.

I haven't drunk many good/craft lagers but this is pretty good to my fairly inexperienced palate. Overall a very drinkable lager and I would think, very sessionable or something quite light to start with. Very refreshing in hot weather. Certainly a cut above the mass-produced lager that's readily available and around the same price.

Recommended.

Pours clear straw into a tulip glass from a 300ml can. White head initially 2 fingers high diminishes to surface froth quite quickly. The brew is visibly carbonated, and leaves no lacing.

Nose is mellow, sweet malts, caramel, lemon, grain, elderflower, and nectar. The flavour is very similar with citrus notes, subtle malts, and a nice grainy aftertaste with biscuit hops. There is a bitterness but it's very subdued and only shows face on the swallow. There is a slight aromatic quality to this beer, evident in the finish.

In the mouth it feels carbonated, light, and crisp. It isn't as thin as I was expecting, with even a slightly oily feel to it which makes it very pleasant drinking. All in all I was pleasantly surprised by this beer, I don't usually go for lagers as they tend to be rather samey, but this one is nicely balanced, refreshing and tasty.
