Appearance: beautiful clear amber, sparkly, a thin layer of suds on a hard pour that quickly disappears
Aroma: up-front piney/grassy/resiny hop nose, angel food cake sweetness, light diacetyl
Flavor: TOASTY maltiness up front with a nice subtle sweetness in the background, unctuous grassy hop flavor, quite dry, a mild hop bitterness creeps in slowly towards the finish, a nice dry and tart finish with a mellow malt and hop aftertaste, hoppy burps
Mouthfeel: medium-bodied, light carbonation, and a bit minerally and astringent
Overall Impression: Great beer. There's a reason this is a hallmark of the style.
Serving type: bottle
