A recent arrival at the NSLC.
Pours a reddish amber color with a finger of solid white head. Head has staying power. Nice amount of lacing left down the glass.
Light yet crisp hop scent. A bit of pine and a bit of malt.
Taste is a slightly earthy malt flavor, with a bit of hop bitterness near the end. Also a bit buttery going down. Fairly smooth overall.
Overall, this is a fairly good English Pale Ale. Reminds me of having pints in the UK a few years back. Enough flavor to keep it interesting, smooth enough to keep you drinking.
