Bottle: a fantastic solid brown embossed brown 500mL bottle with a stylish label. A nice package.

Appearance: pours a clean light amber in colour with a fluffy off-white head that settles to a thin cap. Limited lacing.

Aroma: an awkward combination of light grains and honey. Just smells like beer with honey poured into it.

Taste: I will admit that I have never met a honey beer that I like, and this seems like more of the same. An okay bitter hop and malt flavour behind, but the honey just doesn't seem to integrate into the other flavours at all.

Aftertaste: fortunately the honey flavour dissipates quickly, leaving only a touch of hop bitterness.

Mouth feel: the mouthfeel is crisp and clean, with a decent level of carbonation.

Overall: euch! I really don't understand honey beers. Most of them just taste like this one - a pretty ordinary beer that tastes like it has had warmed honey poured into it. Pretty awful stuff. At least this ordinary stuff would only be AU$130+ per equivalent case of 24 x 330mL bottles. Seriously, Fullers??

A: The beer is clear yellow in color and has a slight amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a half finger high bright white head that died down, leaving lacing on the surface and a collar around the edge of the glass.
S: Light aromas of honey and floral hops are present in the nose.
T: The taste is similar to the smell and has additional notes of pale malts. The honey adds slight bits of sweetness and the hops contribute a light amount of bitterness.
M: It feels light- to medium-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer is very easy to drink and the honey makes things a bit more interesting and prevents this from being a band pale ale.

Great beer. My first impression of the bottle wasn't quite good, but I decided to give it a try, specially because I like the the combination with honey. It feels great in the mouth and it leaves you a tasty flavor when you finish each drink.
Totally recommended!
