This beer is certainly not rich and complex, but definately lives up to its label. Its a very nice, refreshing golden ale. Bottle claimed it was 5% alc by volume.

Appearance
This slightly hazy golden brew poured with a decent two finger off white head. Nice lacing, and decent level of carbonation.

Aroma
Scents of lightly honeyed biscuit great the nose, and are rounded by earthy, floral, grassy, hops with a hint of lemon.

Taste
Nothing complex here, but good and simple biscuity malt, with a touch of honey and hops to make things balanced and interesting.

Mouthfeel
Nice, more light bodied, refreshing summer ale. Clean mild flavours there and balanced. Nice carbonation adds to the refreshment.

Drinkability
Very drinkable summer fare. Would make great session or crossover fare. Nothing challenging here, but i may be looking for this one when the next heatwave strikes.

Look: Pours with average, thick (small bubbles), white (yellow hue), reminds me on the more fizzy lagers. Good retention, leaves a fine, thick layer, that diminishes with time completely. Leaves very little lacing. Clear, golden with orange hue, lots of carbonation for an ale.

Smell: Hey, light citrus, grainy - reminds me of a dry pilsner with some floral, herbal honey notes and light sweetness. Honey part a bit rancid and with a hint of bitterness.

Taste: Watery start, light medium honey, grain, hay (some very, very light munich-like/caramel hides somewhere) malt middle. More light sweet honey comes out at the end, creates light bitterness with some sweetness that stay with you for a while. Bit metallic towards the end, also some mineral and floral notes stay, but less than in the smell.

Mouthfeel: Light-medium body, pleasant carbonation - lively enough to make the emptiness a bit less empty.

Overall: Basically a floral pilsner with a bit more body. Missing some taste at start, the honey incorporation is very light and subtle, kinda works, but could probably be a lot more.

Yet another honey beer... I don't really get them, it sounds like something that should be simple to make taste good - sweetness of honey versus the bitterness of hops, however I am yet to find one that doesn't taste like a lager with honey added as an afterthought. Brewers should be mixing a decent hoppy pale ale with honey, hopefully Fuller's can work some of their magic into this brew.

Poured from a 500ml bottle into a nonic pint.

A: Tis a pale ale, a lightish tinge of sunglow in yonder body glassed, white thee breath of angels lace upon thee head [here endith thine Shakespearian verse].

S: Malt and honey, honey and malt. Pretty uneventful actually... and hops? What hops? Yawn.

T: Probably the best honey beer I've tried, and that's not saying much. At least it's not a lager with honey added, it's an ale with honey added (they got one thing right). This has a grain malt with honey and there is little else to add.

M: Mid to light bodied with a slightly higher than usual carbonation for an English ale.

D: One-dimensional is a hyphenated word that gets bandied about with honey beers quite a lot, and with good reason, they don't have a great deal of character and this is due to demographics; the average drinker likes a lager that is thirst-slaking and boring, why? Because it is easy to drink. Craft beer lovers aren't the norm unfortunately and macro lagers are macro for a reason - loads of people like their beers to be inoffensive (to them at least) and as an alcohol delivery system in the cheapest way possible. That is where honey beers slot in and I am yet to find a honey beer with even the tiniest amount of hop flavour so for me they are a dud, sorry world. IHM (I Hate Macros).

Food match: Honey-roasted peanuts. Ingredients: Salt, artificial honey-roasting agents, pressed peanut sweepings, Mmmm... (Simpson's reference).

Pours a one finger white bubbly head that disappears quickly. Golden and slightly cloudy body.

Sweet malty, slight citrus, and some fruity and honey notes in the aroma.

Big caramel malty notes on the tongue. Slight grainy adjunct-like taste as well. Subtle citrus and fruity taste. Very low hop bitterness. Leaves a dry slightly bitter aftertaste.

Body feels good, but maybe just a little bit on the watery side. Nice carbonation to suit the beer.

Not much honey, but it was a decent EPA.

500 ml bottle into pint glass, best before 4/6/2014. Pours slightly hazy bright golden color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense white head with solid retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Light spotty lacing clings to the glass, with moderate streaming carbonation. Aromas of honey, bread, cracker, biscuit, pear, apple, floral, grass, herbal, and yeast earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance of malt, honey, and fruity yeast ester notes; with solid strength. Taste of honey, bread, cracker, biscuit, pear, apple, herbal, floral, grass, light pepper, and yeast earthiness. No bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of honey, bread, cracker, biscuit, pear, apple, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a short bit. Nice and pleasant flavors with balanced honey, bready malt, fruity yeast, and herbal hop flavors; with decent robustness and no cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and light-medium bodied; with a very smooth and crisp mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is a good English blonde ale. Good balance of honey, malt, yeast, and herbal hop flavors; and very smooth and crisp to drink. A pleasantly enjoyable offering.
