From 500 ml bottle bought in Norway.
Brass-copper color with a thin lacing of head.
The hops give a soft spicy aroma - reminiscent of smoked paprika. Toasted malts are also present, a long with some dark fruity aromas.
Drinking it the first i taste are the hops which is followed by malt and ester flavours similar to what the aroma was like. Finishes with a pleasant medium-low mild bitterness. Kind of hard to differentiate the different tastes since they meld together so well.
Overall a really well balanced beer with solid malt profile that finishes dry enough that you can several pints of it. Really good!

Ruby red colour. Great head and excellent lacing sticking to the inside of the glass. Varied bubble sizes.
Smell is of nougat, malt, herbal spiciness. A bit of booze.
Taste is similar to aroma. Fruitcake, nougat, raisins. Malty sweetness well balanced with not inconsiderable bitterness..
Mouthfeel is perfect. Some carbonation..Bottle conditioning has helped the texture of this beer.
Overall a fantastic English strong ale. Some will say it would be better on cask but I have not yet tasted a better beer than this on cask in any English pub. Complex, deeply flavoured but well balanced and ultimately satisfying. A great advert for the refined craftsmanship of the Fuller's brewery.
My mark out of one hundred would be 92.
