I recently moved to the UK from the states. I love the beer here, however, I was looking for something that reminded me of the American Pale Ales back home. This beer definitely did the trick. Not much malt, but a strong bitter finish. Overall, this was a pretty good beer and something that I will go back to when i'm craving some American hops. (346 characters)

A 500ml bottle with a BB of Feb 2015. Picked up a little while back from a supermarket. Described on the label as a double-hopped pale ale containing a blend of Liberty, Willamette, Cascade and Chinook. Looks like Fuller's are taking on those craft brewers!

Poured into a tulip pint glass. A bright, clear golden-amber hue with light carbonation. Yields a large head of creamy white foam that lasts for a few minutes before collapsing to a wispy surface layer. Aroma of fruity hops with hints of lime, citrus, white grape, mild caramel, ale yeast and faint stewed hops. A twinge of buttery diacetyl lurks in the background. Could stand extra maturing.

Tastes of spicy, fruity hops with an intense bitter finish. Notes of lime, mild grapefruit, citrus, white grape, subtle grass/hay, faint caramel, ale yeast and stewed hops. A whisper of diacetyl. Well-attenuated, followed by a strident hoppy bitterness upon swallowing. Mouthfeel is smooth and tingly, with pleasant carbonation and decent body. Could be a shade thicker. Somewhat astringent, accompanied by an aftertaste of bitter hops, fruitiness and faint malt.

Pretty good - goes down a treat. Looks OK, though the head doesn't hang around. Aroma is hoppy but subdued. Flavour is a bit more punchy; fruity with good bitterness. Body is alright. Not perfect - needs extra maturing before bottling and I reckon the malt could be beefed up slightly. However, it's the ideal brew for a warm day. Worth sampling if you come across it. (1,487 characters)

Drank from my Ciney sniffer

A - Pours a rich Golden colour with a white head that reduces quickly

S - Decent hop backed by malt

T - Up front some nice hop notes the malt is nicely balanced the finish is slightly bitter.

M - Medium body and low to medium carbonation.

O - A very session able APA (299 characters)

Clear lemon yellow body with spotty sporadic microscopic white bubbled head

The aroma is mainly honey but muted

On the tongue it kicks off with that lemon citrus taste that tips its hat to the new world but almost instantly heavy weight bitterness is ushered in confirming it's British toots

The mouthfeel is easy going, not flimsy but easy drinking and slightly spritely carbonation

On the whole a thoroughly decent beer
not screaming world class but it must be a godsend on a hot summer day. (498 characters)
