Poured into a pilsner glass.
Look: Hazy light yellow, looks like lemonade.
Smell: Lemon up front with some sweetness.
Taste: Sweet, but with lemon. Some strange taste that I cannot quite place.
Mouthfeel: Light, easy to drink.
Overall: It had this weird flavor that I can't describe. But there is a sweet lemonade. It kind of gets better with time, but I am not sure I would have it again.

Smells and tastes like an orange-lemon-ginger and coconut creamsicle. I'll just have one, thank you.

Opaque golden appearance with a creamy head that lasts. Smells somewhere between a creamsicle and a musty basement rec room. Definitely has the oaky taste of the distilled spirits in and old fashion cocktail. Contains both the sweet and the sour of the different old fashion cocktail styles which is kind of strange. I could see this beer pairing well with a mouthful of maraschino cherries. It's interesting but this is a gimmick beer. I wouldn't punch out grandma to get my hands on a can.

I thought this was strange at best. It says flavored with citrus and oak... and I almost wondered if they found some kind of liquid oak flavoring for this.

Leinie's had an event this past Fall at the Station House Taproom which I happily attended. While there, the East Coast rep (!) imparts to me that a) they have an IPL coming on line in VERY limited release and b) a new mixed pack of CANs was also being made available. I then braced the regional rep for more info and was able to track down this group of joy. Ah, The CANQuest (TM)!
This brings back a USS Fulton (AS-11) memory, c. 1985. Buck, to Spaceshot: Hey, baby, howzabout a blowjob? Spaceshot: Aw, sorry, Buck, I don't do that sort of thing. I'm an Old-Fashioned girl. Buck: Hey, that's cool. Howzabout an Old-Fashioned blowjob, instead?!? That's the kind of quick thinking that won the Cold War! We howled that Monday upon hearing that story. Man, this young female sailor recently told me that she wishes that she had served in my era's Navy. Sorry, Sharkbait, but it was a much less enlightened time.
From the CAN: "The Pride of Chippewa Falls, Wis[CAN]sin Since 1867"; "Our Favorite Tastes from Simpler Times with Hints of Citrus and Oak"; "Our latest Shandy-style beer takes some of our favorite tastes from simpler times and fashions them into something new, We blend traditional wheat beer with oak and citrus for a crisp flavor [CAN]bination that's as bright as the [A]utumn leaves."
Once again, a Leinie's CAN opens with a loud Crack! Time for an inverted Glug to celebrate. This resulted in two fingers of fluffy, bone-white head that dropped like it was a hot potato. Bye, Felicia! Man, that Mattie from Party Down South is one statuesque young woman! Nose smelled like fresh-squeezed orange juice! Mmmm. Color was a cloudy Yellow-Gold (SRM = 4 - 5) and the Unholy Trio again turned it down as flawed. Mammon, Midas and Croesus like their Gold pure, refined and uncloudy. Sorry, fellas. I have no such CANpunctions and took a big draught. Mouthfeel was thin to medium. The taste was sweet orange and vanilla and I thought immediately of an Orange Julius! I loved those CANcoctions, but Strawberry was my favorite. This was tasty. If I had any real knock against it, I would say that it is kind of thin and awfully sweet. That said, it is a Radler/Shandy and meant to be quaffed on a hot Summer's day. I could see myself crushing several of these out of a cooler under those circumstances. Finish was sweet, but not cloying. Sweet orange and vanilla lingered well after the swallow.

Milky straw color without a notable head. The aroma is lemony..lots of fruit, more like lemonaid than beer. Sugary sweet and fizzy, with a touch of acidity to brig a bit of refreshingness to the brew. Light and uninteresting.
