I am not a fan of Leinenkugel's. maybe it's the healthy Minnesota/Wisconsin rivalry. Poured straw yellow, with almost no head. Taste is very sweet. The honey is there, but also a faint fruitiness. Finishes sweet and syrupy. Overall, I had heard bad things about this beer. I did not hate it, in fact it was a nice change of pace. Wouldn't recommend it, but wouldn't turn down a bottle either.

The fact that I've seen advertisements for this beer was a big turn off for me. ALL of the beers I've seen ads for have turned out to be complete duds. This was no different.
Appearance was "kristal" clear, no head. Smelled of nothing really. You could tell a slight hint of the honey and weiss that is mentioned in the beer's name. Nothing more.
Taste was much of the same. Watery and flavorless. I would compare this more with an adjunct macro than to a filtered hefe.
Not a good beer at all in my opinion. Pass.

The appearance is a bright very clear gold with a white head that disappears quickly.
The smell is like an American Macro with some hints of wheat grain.
The taste is hoppy and plain. Do I detect wheaties? Most American Macro Lagers have cereal malts, well this American Pale Wheat Ale actually taste like a specific cereal! Yes this beer finishes with a taste of unsweetend Honey-Comb.
The mouthfeel is light, but there is something to be said about the fact that it leaves no aftertaste or residue.
The drinkability is okay, but nothing great because of the wierd hops. This whole beer is just average.

Consumed in a pint glass from a 12oz bottle.
Appearance: very pale amber with minor head and very little lace
Smell: cheap mass produced hefeweizen, flowers in the bottom notes
Taste/Mouthfeel: roasted wheat and orange, light and flowery
There are better American wheat beers made out there but I still respect the small craft brewers even if they sell out to the big boys.

Poured from bottle, enjoyed from glass.
A: A nice clear, pale, yellow color.
S: Light scent with the slightest hint of citrus.
T: Refreshing taste overall. A small draw of honey with a trace of lemon peel mix with a pleasant tasting wheat-beer taste.
M: The hops make the tongue water and wash to a dry mouth-feel. Very crisp hit on the initial sip.
Overall: This beer is a lovely summertime brew. I prefer this over Summer Shandy, Leinenkugel's "summertime" beer because this contains far less fruit and is not sweetened nearly as much. If the price is right and the weather is warm, try a few of these.
