poured a pale yellow that's almost clear. white head faded quickly.

smell is basically a faint wheat malt flavor.

taste is a bright wheat with a sweetness to it from the honey. no other depth besides a hint of wheat.

mouthfeel is clean and crisp. it's drinkable.

Beer was poured from a 12 ounce bottle at approximately 46º with a date of 11057. The beer poured with a nice thick head which dissipated in a couple of minutes. Coloring was clear and pale gold. There was no cloudiness as could be expected for most weiss beers.

There were slight hints of malt and maybe some honey but I was unable to detect much else.

The taste was pretty straightforward without noticeable malt or honey. I also failed to sense the crispness that I was anticipating nor did any sweetness jump out at me.

This beer was very acceptable in the mouth. There were no off tastes or anything that would cause you to spit it out rather than swallow.

Overall this is another ok beer from Leinenkugel. The crispness and thirst quenching qualities would probably be better served at a cooler temperature.

Consumed in a pint glass from a 12oz bottle.

Appearance: very pale amber with minor head and very little lace

Smell: cheap mass produced hefeweizen, flowers in the bottom notes

Taste/Mouthfeel: roasted wheat and orange, light and flowery

There are better American wheat beers made out there but I still respect the small craft brewers even if they sell out to the big boys.

Brought this back from my trip to Minnesota along with quite a few others from Leinenkugel's. The body to this brew is like no other, and I can't say its particularly good. Its lighter than golden and literally is almost water colored but slightly hazy. Very strange. There is a good frothy bleach white head however. The nose is mostly pale with some hints of honey to come. The mouthfeel has an edgy, pin prickly feel. There is certainly a full malt character in this offering and the honey notes are a lot more subtle than I would have suspected. In the finish, you get a nice peppery compliment to the mellowing honey character. Very average overall.
