Pours fizzy, clear yellow with a small head that doesn't last long and leaves no lacing. (Where's the haze normally associated with a weiss?) Aroma is mild malt with a bit of honey. Taste is slightly malty, honey lends a cidery aftertaste. Little hop flavor. Mouthfeel is thin and fizzy. Really not that bad a beer... nothing offensive about it... but nothing really outstanding about it either.

A-Poured a golden yellow with a substantial head of 1.4" and steadily rising carbonation bubbles.
S-Like a macrobrewery tour... SABMILLER?
T-Malty and slightly refreshing with a subtle honey lingering flavor.
M-Thin and fizzy
D-I could probably do two of these of an extremely warm summer's day, but other than that I wouldn't waste my money.

Honey Weiss?? If they say so, not much honey taste and doesn't much resemble a Weiss bier either.

Light bodied, pale honey colored brew.

Very little aroma, more citrus than honey. Taste is the same - very little. Very slight trace of honey, more grain, fruit, citrus, but still not much.

Finishes very slightly dry. Easy to drink, fairly smooth. Drink it with spicy food and save the good stuff for another time.

My first Leinenkugel, courtesy of my next door neighbor whose old friend from Wisconsin brought some of these by. Pours a clear, very light yellow body with a smallish white head that drops immediately. No lacing. Aroma is sweet clover honey and some sweet malt. No hop presence here. Mouthfeel is light bodied and low on carbonation. Carbonation could have been affected by the long journey in a car trunk. The taste is sweet. Malty sweet, honey sweet, and some wheat grain in the background. Again, no hop presence. Drinkability suffers from the sweetness, which is almost one dimensional. Not a Weiss that I would care to have again.

Poured into a pilsener. A very light straw color with really no head.

There is really not much of a smell to it, maybe a hint of honey?

Mouth? I'm drinking one as I write this, is thin with a little too much carbonation.

As far as taste goes, I've had a few kristall's and this isn't even close. there is no "sourness"? that should be in a weiss, even a kristall weiss.

All in all, I don't think I will buy this beer again, it just doesn't have much going for it other than you could drink a lot of this in one sitting.

Drank out of a bottle at a state park in South Dakota. Color was a fair light golden. Head and film/lacing - N/A.

Smelled heavy of honey, but not as strong as you’d think with the name. Slight malt or wheat in there, too.

Honey dominate on the tastes, but average overall. Nothing else really stood out.

Highly carbonated. Surprisingly refreshing.

Pretty average overall. Actually, just below it. I did have another one later in the week and it tasted a bit better, but I think my ratings will stick.

Poured from 12oz bottle into a pint glass.

Appearance: light golden color with a crystal-clear body. Head is two fingers of rapidly-dissipating frothy white foam. Not half bad.

Smell: sweet malty, grainy aroma with a tinge of sourness. Basically your standard adjunct lager smell; not great.

Taste: sweetish; slightly malty, slightly grainy. The alcohol is quite noticeable, which is surprising for a relatively low alcohol beer. Also not great, but better than the smell.

Mouthfeel: not bad carbonation in a light-medium body. Probably the high point of this beer.

Drinkability: ugh. I wouldn't have another.

A rather dull, bright off-yellow hue, no carbonation, no head, very little action coming from this beverage. Somewhat of a wheaty aroma, faint at that. Just a touch on the creamy side, some wheat flavoring most noticeable in this character-lacking brew. Some sweetness, little to no hop presence, or malt presence for that matter. A grassy palate, nil honey detection. Could quench or refresh on a mild to warm day, but extremely masked flavorings, the honey and the weiss should be removed from the label as they do not exist in this line. A bland offering from a bland line of beers.

12 oz. bottle, purchased as part of the Leinenkugel's Autumn sampler pack. Bottle says to enjoy by January 07, 2013 so I am only a couple days late on this one.

A - Non-aggressive pour into a Boulevard tulip glass yields the tiniest half finger of foamy head that recedes into nothing within seconds. Extremely pale, clear, yellow straw color. Steady stream of bubbles rushing to the top. Looks very similar to a Miller Lite or something similar.

S - Pale boring malt smell with a tiny whiff of bubblegum. Maybe the vaguest hint of honey in there somewhere, but otherwise it is a pretty dull sniffing experience. Corn.

T - Tastes like a more tame boring watered down version of the Leinenkugel's Oktoberfest without the hint of spice. Bubblegum malts seem to be dominant again here with a faint hint of honey tickling the tongue. Lots of carbonation. No real flavor to speak of. Corn.

M - Smooth clean watery mouthfeel again. I am really digging for the honey, and it is there, but it isn't very pronounced. Again, carbonated, but it isn't so bad that it completely ruins the beer like some other lackluster brews I've had in the past.

Overall, not a great beer, and probably the lamest beer in Leinenkugel's autumn sampler. I have had home-brewed beers that were way too heavy on the honey, but this beer could definitely use some more. With a low 4.9% abv, use this beer to introduce your friends to something other than Miller Lite or Bud Light.

Pale honey-straw body with a small fizzy head. Faint cereal smells, maybe a hop or two. Taste is slightly sweet. Maybe some adjuncts in here... Honey? Well, perhaps, but it's not much different than Grain Belt's sweetness. Finish is short, but quenching, with a crisp wheat tang. I've had better glasses of this on tap, and it's sometimes the best choice among local bars in MN, especially in the summer.

Appearance:
Clear, pale sunflower color with a thin, white head. Retention is horrible with traces of lacing. Gobs of carbonation.

Aroma:
Dull. Musty wheat with a bit of honey. Mostly musty.

Taste:
Follows the aroma closely, unfortunately. Musty wheat with a decent amount of honey notes. Watery, everything about this screams, "watered down!" Faint citrus is detectable, but it's not able to redeem this one.

Mouthfeel:
It's crisp and extremely light with plenty of carbonation. Surprisingly refreshing if you can endure the taste. Finish is a hair on the dry side, we can chalk that up to the honey though.

Overall:
Not a complete wreck, but it's definitely nothing to write home about. If you're looking for something light for back to back drinking, there are plenty of others out there that offer more character and a more enjoyable experience. I couldn't in good faith recommend this to anyone.

Leinenkugel's Honey Weiss pours a macro yellow with a fizzy head that dies out quickly.
smells of honey, sour grains, and possibly some hops?

pretty bland. possibly some sweetness attributed to the honey, but overall nothing special. the wheat is barely noticeable, and the banana and clove is not apparent at all. it's not offensive in any way, and actually it's not bad if you pretend your only other option is a budweiser.

mouthfeel ok. creamy, full. not watery like it looks.

drinkability good. i could have a few of these. not that i would choose to, or want to.

A cross-over brew at best, not much going on with this one. Average, plain - and with a cheapy price.

Clear lemon pour, not much in the way of white head. No aroma at all - nuttin happening here. Taste was more of a soapy pilsner than a honey wheat. Body was crisp and thin. Decent drinking in the summer heat, but find a beer with more taste.

The appearance is a light golden with mild carbonation amounting to little to no head. The smell is slight maybe a hint of the honey. Tastewise, I found it average, medium bodied at best, a bit tinny as well. The mouthfeel was light, a bit watery. Overall, it is a beer that you could sit down with and tip back a few, worth a try, fair price as well.

Appearance- clear golden yellow with small amount of carbonation slowly streaming the glass, thick white head retains to medium foam,

Smell- slight hop, malt, and slight wheat, little bit lemon

Taste- slightly sweet up front and then fades into a little bit of a bitter hop finish, slight corn and malt flavor, not getting whole lot of the honey here, not particularly sweet or citrus y compared to many other wheat beers more dry and lager like, not very complex and overally a little disappointed with this ones flavor profile

Mouthfeel- overally and exceedingly light in mouth feel very thin and watery

Drinkability- this beers not hard to drink as it is so light but its just lacking enough enjoyability for it to be a good go to choice, flavor profile is just to thin and simplistic, just not enough going on here and I think probably the weakest of there line in my opinion, its not the worst beer in the world but certainly nothing special

12 oz bottle poured into pilsner glass.

Appearance: Crystal clear golden with thick white head that dissipates to thin layer. Some lacing present on the sides. This is really filtered. Looks much like the fizzy yellow US crap.

Smell: Very mild wheat-like and yeast, but smells mostly clean, too clean...like a lager. Strange.

Taste: Very light wheat taste. My guess is there is not a large % wheat in here. Strange lingering vegetable aftertaste. Not much else going on.

Mouthfeel: Light to medium body. Lots of carbonation.

Drinkability: This is what the beer was obviously made to do. Very drinkable and clean, too much so.

12 oz bottle, this stuff pours LIGHT straw, clear with a tiny bubble, creamy head and leaves nice lacing. Nose is sugary, so far so good, so how does this stuff taste? Very little taste, too bad. light, sweet, a wiff of honey and that about it, no yeastyness, no hops, not even slight malt notes. Just light, watery and boring.

They call this a honey weiss, it's basically a deep pale golden hue with a bright white head that dies quickly to nothing but speckled lacing. Aroma is minimal very muted sharp wheat notes with little to no citrus or honey notes. Thin body easy to sip on but the wheat notes give it some actual nice breadiness, I don't get much in the way of honey on the palate, a bit of hash grainy character in the finish. A touch of fruit, maybe at this point I will call it citrus. Mouthfeel has heavy carbonation but a lighter body, adding to some unnatural effervescence. Overall, the beer is unlike any other beer, out there a wheat beer that is crystal clear and tastes clean like basically nothing.

Can poured into pint glass

Appearance: Clear straw yellow with plenty of carbonation. Has a thin head.

Smell: Lemon, very slight aroma of wheat.

Taste: Crisp honey and wheat, light fruit esters. Overwhelming lemon like zing that kills the flavor. Ends with this metallic flavor.

Not something I'd search out. Leinenkugel needs to cut the lemon flavor and add some more malt. The "crispness" of the beer does not seem to come from the wheat so much, I think lemon juice was added to give it the crisp zing; a really bad call, as it throws off the flavor. Worst weizen I've ever had.

Leinie Honey: this is arguably a Weiss beer, but it neither looks nor tastes like one. It has a sweet aroma, and a nice light taste that you can drink all day. But it is clear, and is nothing like any Weiss I’ve ever had, seen, or heard of. Try Sammy’s new Weiss if you want to get close to the style.

Beautifull clear looking golden ale. No head or lacing but highly carbonation.
Very mild smell, slight malt, no hops.
Taste was very bland, almost like drinking carbonated yellow water. No hops or malt present.
Will not buy again. Second of the sampler pack. So far, so bad!

Poured into a pint glass.

A - Aside from the head, it looks like a lager with a clear yellow-gold body. Head has some staying power.

S - Honey, lemon and skunk. Pleasant and weird at the same time.

T - I don't know how to describe this. Very weird. I'm getting some light lemon peel with sweetness and maltiness. The finish is strange. Toothpaste?

M - Pretty watery.

O - Pales in comparison to the Sunset Wheat. If I wasn't a cheap ass in need of a buzz I would've probably set it aside.

Poured into weizen glass. Poured a clean, clear, bright yellow with about an inch of white head that dissipated immediately, but left some lacing.

The scent was sour and slightly skunky, with a bit of a sweet background. The taste was pretty much the same. The body was thin. Drinkability was OK, if it were in my local Quickymart, I might grab a sixer for the beach or park.

Not a great beer, but might be worth a shot if you see it.

A - Crystal clear yellow body with a minimal white cap for a head. No lacing to speak of.

S - Not much of a nose at all...somewhat sweet aroma, I'm guessing from the honey. It kind of reminds me of a macro adjunct a bit.

T & M - I'm not impressed. This isn't much better than your average macro...the only thing it has over Miller Lite is that it has a very slight honey sweetness, barely intelligible. This is supposed to be a tuned down version of a Hefeweizen...it has shown no character of a Hefe whatsoever. Thin and watery body, very coarse on the tongue from the carbonation. I guess it's crisp enough, but then again, it's gonna be crisp when there is nothing to the beer.

D - As far as drinkability, this is a quaffing beer when you're looking to hydrate while mowing the lawn on a hot Summer day. It's too rough to even be served in good glassware, this is one you drink straight from the bottle. There are much better beers out there...go for those beers before you pick this one up.

Poured into a pint glass and it has a medium golden hue with a one finger head that disappeared very fast. Very little lacing.

The smell was malty and I really couldn't pick up hardly any honey smell which is surprising.

The taste is a sweet malty flavor with a feint hint of honey.

Overall its very drinkable but would have liked to had a stronger honey flavor. I would drink it again but only in a variety pack, I wouldn't buy a pack of just this beer.
