This beer pours a clear nut brown color with an inch and a half light tan head. There is minimal head retention and no lacing left behind as it receeds.
The aroma is ok, but basic. The malt profile is decent providing notes of caramel, as well as a combination of raw and toasted grain.
The taste is not great. Again some notes of caramel and raw grain are dominant. There's a light bite of bitterness as well. Also, I always find that red wheat has a very distinct taste which is evident here.
The mouthfeel is thin and watery. This is a major issue of mine.
Overall it's pretty poor. I hate the mouthfeel. The nose and taste are phoned. Just not quite right from start to finish.
