[Best served in a Dimpled mug]
The Pour was a crystal clear medium brown with a slight red hue and a thin (less than 1 finger) fizzy white head that was fully diminishing in a matter of seconds with virtually no lacing to speak of.
The aroma was of a roasted biscuit malt and a sweet earthy yeast with notes of caramel, a light dose of roasted coffee and a mild nutty presence (hazelnut I think).
The taste was lightly sweet and very malty with a note of caramel from the onset then became a tad bitterer with a nice note of coffee and some mild nutty overtones at the end. The flavor stuck around for a little while letting the coffee and malts work on the taste buds.
Mouthfeel was just a bit more than medium in body with the texture being nice and creamy and having a medium carbonation.
Overall a decent Brown Ale, a little lighter in taste than most but most definitely quite drinkable. This is a brew that has an ABV and a great drinkability, which would allow it to be a great session beer.
