A: Pours a clear reddish amber with a thick frothy head that lingers for a few minutes before dying down to a thin remnant.
S: Notes of burnt caramel malt predominates. A faint mineral character is also present.
T: Pleasant flavor of toasty caramel malt up front, but that segues into an almost soapy finish. Something wrong with the pH of their water maybe?
M: Light and crisp. Could be refreshing with spicy food, or on a hot evening.
O: Not an impressive beer, but not outright bad either. For some reason it reminds me of Shiner Bock, maybe because of the soapy note at the end. It's too bad they couldn't hold that first note of the flavor for the whole length of a sip, because for the first moment or two it is quite pleasant tasting.
