Pours deep bronze, almost a purplish tone to the overall hue. Thin head with no lacing. Carbonation immediately apparent. Hue is nice but the head and lacing hurt the score.
Caramel body, strong chocolate presence with a surrounding nutty smokiness on the aroma. Good nose on this one, incredibly strong.
Taste... Nutty, chocolaty blast followed by caramel, finishes sweet with some malt. Too overpowering, too soft-drinkish. This tastes fake -- I want to taste a beer when I drink a beer, not a carbonated alcoholic nut drink.
The carbonation is a tad much, but the overall mouthfeel is passable. No alcoholic bite. The taste makes this drinkable, but the more sips that I take the more I despise the carbonation. It alone keeps the beer from reaching a much higher score, which is very disappointing considering that the taste and aroma are both spectacular.
The strong smell and taste on this makes me question its genuineness. After having a few of these it made me almost sick to my stomach. Way too sweet, not enough actual beer taste in here. Something's fishy with this brew (not literally).

I mistakenly bought a 12-pack of this beer before it was rightfully retired. The taste was horrendous, with an upfront unnatural nuttiness to it. The mouthfeel was of a metallic nature, and it was overly carbonated. Everything about this beer screams artificial.
I could not sell the remaining 10 beers for $5, after letting my four roommates try this. This is one of the only drain-pour worthy beers I've encountered, and will retire in the hall of fame of terrible beers.
