12 oz served in a pint glass about 1 month before end of (presumably) "best by" date stamped on bottle.
A - a clear, dark, red-orange amber with a short-lived and smallish head. Virtually no visible carbonation.
S & T - I thought the "Nut Brown" would refer to the coloration, but perhaps it refers better to the taste which is markedly nutty in both mid-taste and in the finish. I found the pronounced nuttiness to be the best attribute of this otherwise rather pedestrian brew, elevating it to a beer of interest and, likely, making it an exceptional accompaniment to certain foods (yet to be identified). The taste also has a nice roasted malt character and is considerably better than the aroma which has a less pronounced nuttiness and lacks any other particularly interesting or inviting quality. The aroma has some of the negative characteristics of some high ABV ales.
Too little carbonation had a small negative impact on my ratings of both appearance and mouthfeel. Mouthfeel is also a bit too light.
Drinkability is good, but impaired by aroma.

I mistakenly bought a 12-pack of this beer before it was rightfully retired. The taste was horrendous, with an upfront unnatural nuttiness to it. The mouthfeel was of a metallic nature, and it was overly carbonated. Everything about this beer screams artificial.
I could not sell the remaining 10 beers for $5, after letting my four roommates try this. This is one of the only drain-pour worthy beers I've encountered, and will retire in the hall of fame of terrible beers.
