A -- Nice, deep reddish brown color with a long-lasting light tan head.
S -- Is that macadamia nut? Maple syrup? Little vanilla-ish, husky grains, some vague character that I often get in Berghoff beers -- swapping yeast here?
T -- More vanilla and nutiness with a touch of roasted malt bitterness in the finish, nutty aftertaste. The web site says that there are nothing but malts & hop in this beer -- I'd have guessed the vanilla and nut flavors were added.
M -- Very smooth with a good, medium body. Slightly syrupy.
D -- Hmm, In the winter months I might actually grow to like this -- moreso than the Sunset Wheat. More character than the Big Butt too.
