The beer pours a dark amber/brown color with a thick frothy offwhite head that slowly fades to lacing. The aroma is good. It has a sweet, malty scent that boasts of crystal and chocolate malts as well as a fruity lager yeast aroma. The taste is decent. It has a very dry feel that goes down smooth and finishes a bit sweet. The crystal malt really sticks out. The fruitiness from the esters detracts from the malt character. The mouthfeel is decent as well. It is a medium bodied beer with lots of prickly carbonation. This is a drinkable brew, like most of their beers, but it also beats around the style.
