12 oz bottle, poured into a pint glass
Appearance: Pours a very pretty, clear brown color with a quarter of a finger of white head that quickly dissolved into a thin halo of foam hat gripped the sides of the glass and formed wispy clouds that partially covered the top of the beer.
Aroma: Not much in the aroma department, either that, or I’m stuffed up. I do get faint, and I mean faint, notes of malt, pretzels, caramel and clover. But very faint.
Taste: Very malty up front, with some nice caramel-like sweetness finished by some nicely balanced hoppy bitterness.
Mouthfeel: Medium, with some good carbonation to tickle the taste buds. With an ABV of only 5.1%, there is no presence of alcohol on the palate.
Overall: A solid American version of an Oktoberfest beer. Nice and malty and nicely balanced with hops. Good quaff.
Serving type: bottle
