Poured from a bottle into a pint glass.
A - Medium reddish-brown amber, maybe half a finger of head that doesn't stick around. Not really any lacing to speak of.
S - Not strong with touches of cherry and malty toffee-type flavors. Almost a citrusy hop taste, but being an Oktoberfest it's VERY minimal.
T - Very much like some other Oktoberfests I've tried, but a little weaker, as though it were cut a a small amount of water, but not to an insulting degree. The cherry I smelled isn't really part of the taste, but the toffee and bits of toasty touches are present. Fair amount of malt flavor, but I don't get the impression they wanted to go heavy.
M - Pretty heavy body but not as much as more typical heavier Oktoberfests. So pretty smooth without much aftertaste. You might even think of it as an Oktoberfest light.
O - Not the greatest Oktoberfest I've tried, but I've never met a Leinie I didn't like. This, one of their best, is still very enjoyable and can easily be sessioned.
