A - Dark amber. Almost a dark purple held up to the light. A bit of light does shine thru. head is gone immediately. lacing is none. very small amount of carbonation rising. very thin.
S - A low roast. Chocolate and vanilla are present. mild amount of carmel. not a lot happening.
T - Better than it smells. But again just mild amounts of chocolate, vanilla and carmel. I personally don't like the deep roast- which this certainly does not have.
M - Thin and mildly frothy. Alcohol give a nice heat on the tongue.
O - Thin. Not as sweet as it should be. Doesn't resemble a porter at all actually. Hoped for bold - received pretty mild. Vanilla presence was descent. Avg beer drinker will probably find this very good. but it doesn't meet the style very well and all flavors are average at best.
