Poured from a bottle into a pint glass.

Appearance: Yellow with a thin white head. Mild lacing on the glass and a lot of carbonation.

Smell: Hops, Rye, some wheat and malt as well. Bit of a skunked smell for a "fresh" beer.

Mouthfeel/Taste: Smooth light bodied. Taste of bitter hops and rye. Mild wheat.

Overall: Ok brew. Not my first choice.

Always wanted to try this beer since it came out. Never had a Leinie's that I didn't like, with the exception of BerryWeiss

A: Pours a pale yellow color, decent retention with a nice head. Color reminds me of a light beer.

S: Smells like a light beer, can make a case for a bit of citrus fruit as well

T: Can definitely get a bit of hops, and some lemon. It has a certain sweetness to it. Aftertaste strangely reminds me of a white wine

M: Very light and refreshing. Can definitely pound these.

O: A nice lighter option from Leinie's. I like it. This would be a good beer for a hot day after cutting grass, especially if fruitier beers aren't for you. Like I said before, this beer can easily be pounded.

Lawnmower beer status, light pale golden bright egg shell white head forms fine speckled lacing between sips. Fizzy flowing carbonation streams of bubbles from the bottom of my glass. Aroma has a biscuit malt sweetness, lemon tartness, and light grassy hop character going on. Not detecting rye yet let's see if it shows up in the flavor at all, crisp smooth biscuit malts with some bread dough yeast characteristics, a light lemony grassy finish pretty nice mix of flavors even if it's done in a session beer from Leinenkugel's. Some might say it's too watery or lacks the depth of some if it's German Kolsch style ales, but for me it's working just right not bad at all. Mouthfeel is crisp refreshing light bodied base beer clean finish all day, if working in the yard just keep these coming.

Poured from a 12oz bottle, dated 3 June 2013, into a Belgian snifter.

A: The beer is yellow-gold color in color with excellent clarity, topped by a thin white head most of which fades quickly. Some lacing gets left on the glass.

This is a lightly flavored and delicate style of beer, so the addition of rye could easily change the character. And so it does, I think. The aroma is spicy for style. seemingly due to both hops and the rye. The flavor too is spicy for style, but not so much as to completely transform the kolsch or overpower the malts. Has a clear hint of lemon. Slightly sweet.

M: Crisp; light body; near medium carbonation.

O: A relatively spicy version of the style, yet without being more flavorful than average.
