Pours a dark gold, pretty average looking.

Bready, but also corny with a bit of skunk.

Perhaps with great imagination I can conjure up some rye, but this doesn't feel like a far cry from anything else in the main Leinie's line. Just another lager, this time with a bit more breadiness and thin malts, marred by a bit of skunky steamed vegetables.

Medium mouthfeel.

For me this was lacking the crispness I like in a Kolsch, and just a grainy mess.

A:Clear straw gold. As expected of the style. Bubbly and little head.

S: saltine Crackers, malts, and grass. Again, typical.

T: Malty and bready. Slight hops on the back end.

M: medium body, fresh and clean.

This is a solid "B" light beer.

My very first beer from Leinenkugel's. Here it goes.

Appearance
Good sized head. Dissipates at an average pace but without much lacing. Light golden colored body. Clear. Moderate carbonation.

Smell
Sweet, smoky malts. No hops in the nose.

Taste
Sweet malt. Stale cracker. Slight hop bitterness. The bitterness is very subdued. Pretty good. Decent malt body for a lighter style beer. Very drinkable.

Mouthfeel
Quite good. Medium bodied.

Overall
Drinks more like a lager than an ale. A good summertime beer or for when you want something light.
