This Czechmate pilsner is modeled after famous Czech beers. It has a straw-gold color. The malt flavor is soft and biscuit-like. The mouthwatering Czech hops linger on the tongue. The pilsner cold ages for eight weeks, making it finish clean and crisp.

I shanked a can of this beer whilst visiting my wife's boss' vacation home in Bozeman, Montana. It poured a clear golden with white head that is leaving some lace. The scent had common czech pilsner notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with bright malt base and Czech grain and pils presence. The mouthfeel was lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall it is a great beer.

Drinking this at home.
Poured from a twelve ounce can into a pint glass.
Looks slightly hazy golden yellow with a nice foamy white head that dropped slowly to a thin cap.
Smells lightly bready, floral, spicy, herbal.
Taste follows the nose nicely with a very malt forward finish and not quite floral enough for me.
Mouth feel is medium plus for the style.
Overall to be fair, this beer has been sitting in my fridge for two months, maybe if it were fresher I might like it more.
Next summer when I head out West I'll try to find this again for a reevaluation.
Which means I am interested enough to try it again.
Cheers!

12oz can purchased at Yellowstone General Store. Poured out a very clear, straw-yellow color with a small, white head of foam. It smelled of grains, caramel, toffee and some floral notes. Sweet bready malt taste with caramel and toffee. Mild bitterness.

A bit messy, finishes with a bigger malt sweetness than I’d like. Not as dry and crisp as it could be. IMO drinks more like an average kolsch. This one needs more tightening up IMO.

Pours a bright gold with 2+ fingers pearl colored head. Nice head retention & pretty good lacing
S: Soapy & perfumy hops
T: Follows the nose, dry with a little sweet grainyness up front. Some pears mix with dryness & soapyness as this warms,a little grassyness as well, plus sweetness bordering on cloying. Finishes dry, sweet & grassy
MF: Medium body, crisp carbonation, skews a little sweet once warm
Drank a little slow, due to the sweetness, started strong, but faded down the stretch

Poured from 12oz bottle into a dimpled mug.
Appearance: medium golden color with a moderate haze and a thin layer of frothy white foam. I think a Pilsner should be a lot clearer, with more effervescence and head.
Smell: sweet malt with a little bit of offsetting graininess and a light, grassy hop character. Not bad at all.
Taste: very malty with tons of sweetness and a little bit of noble, grassy hops. It's not bad, actually, but it could be a little crisper.
Mouthfeel: medium-rich body with a decent carbonation and a good creaminess. Honestly, it's probably too thick for a Pilsner, but I like the creaminess.
Overall: it's a little bit heavy for the style, in its sweetness and body, but still a pretty decent beer.

Great feel
Biting
No real smell to this smokers nose
Tastes meh to good
Malt overshadowed by hops
But boy is it crisp
Head comes and goes
Lacing up the glass
Tastes foamy?

From notes taken 03/13/16:
Straw gold and mostly clear but with a fine swirl of haze. Fine, light, foamy cap of off-white, with decent retention and lace. Fairly clean-smelling, just moderately sweet on the nose, with faint but distinct grain and light lemon notes. Very grainy palate, just shy of being harsh. Nice lemon, rind, and floral hopping, even some light peppercorn and other semi-bitter spices. Medium-bodied, crisp, softly effervescent, slight tingles and even alcoholic burn going down.

Poured from bottle into a pint glass
Appearance – The beer pours a golden straw color with a one finger head of pure white foam. The head has a decent level of retention, fading to leave rings of lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma of the brew is rather strong of a grainy and caramel smell mixed with a little bit of a bready smell. Along with these aromas comes some nice herbal and grassy smells mixed with a little bit of a floral hop.
Taste – The taste begins with a light bready taste mixed with a lighter showing of some caramel and light bit of a graininess. As the taste moves on the bready fades a bit while the grain grows some in intensity, with a more cracker like flavor developing overall. Some flavors of an herbal and grassy hop nature come to the tongue as the taste moves to the end. With a little bit of a more floral hop nature coming at the very end, one is left with a rather nice crisp and slightly lighter, but nicely hopped and clean taste to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the brew is on the slightly thinner side with a carbonation level that is on the slightly lower side. For the style and taste, the feel is spot on making for a very nice, crisp, and easy drinking feel overall.
Overall –This one was crisp, lightly dankly hopped, and flavorful. All the while it was very smooth and clean, making for a very tasty and drinkable brew overall.

Pours a clear, gold color. 1/4 inch head of a white color. Slight retention and decent lacing. Smells of pale malt, hops, hint of sweet malt, and a hint of yeast. Fits the style of a Czech Pilsener. Mouth feel is sharp and crisp, with an average carbonation level. There is also a noticeable dryness. Tastes of pale malt, hops, hint of sweet malt, hint of yeast, and a hint of metallic notes. Overall, weak appearance, average aroma and blend, and the metallic notes in the body were unpleasant.
