This batch was brewed by Molson Canada "under Asahi's supervision".
A little bread and cereal aroma comes off the bright white head. It quickly recedes to a thin film of foam, which continues to be repopulated by a steady stream of random and linear carbonation rising from the bottom of the crystal clear, golden yellow beer.
Not sure what they mean by a "Super Dry" beer. It is crisp and lightly malted with just enough hops to give it some character, but it tastes a lot like Molson's export ale, but weaker, with rice adjuncts. It's not too bad, but beer begins with water, and if your water source is Canadian, well . . . let's just say it does not have the same background mineral flavors as beer actually brewed in Japan.
A refreshing enough brew to knock back a tray of sushi, but nothing substantial.
