12oz bottle into ommegang chalice

pours to a thin white bibbly head atop a beautiful golden honey orange. smells of lots of tart and sweet fruits-- apples, raisins, some citrus, brown sugar and some faint clove-like spice. a lot of sourness and yeast coming through.

holy wow is this delicious. okay I'll try to be more objective here. bright breen granny smith apples hit up front with a very pleasant oak taste. the oak stays throughout and is truly something. mild dark fruits and candy sugar sweetness straight into a quick spark of perfect apple sourness, fading slowly into brown sugar, vanilla and oak. phenomenal mix of flavors coming through in this beer. feels light and watery with fleeting carbonation on the tongue.

exceptional beer, and unique to say the least. the sourness in this might not be for everyone, but there is an awesome complexity to this that readily presents itself-- especially how well the oak flavor comes through and balances out. A great beer; crisp, refreshing, robust.

Pours a yellow golden with a slight white head that leaves some lacing.

Smell is of tart, sour white grapes, apricot, pineapple, pear, and peach. Not much malt in the nose, its mostly a pleasant acidic note.

Taste is much of the same with a nice lingering vinegar note, although lighter than some other sours. Lots of unripe fruit notes, reminds me of tasting fruit from my orchard prematurely. Sour grapes, a little honey on the backend, Pretty nice if you ask me.

Feel is on par with many great beers, I can't see how it can be improved really. Light on the tongue, and medium carb.

Overall this is much better than the Oude Bruin. I would say get this over the aformentioned.
Very nice sour with lots of puckering notes.

25oz bomber to a snifter

Pours a pale gold with two fingers of white foam. Moderate carbonation lacing from the sides, not bad retention or lacing

Smells...sour. Strong tart white grapes and apple, some lemon, heavy oak, a strong blast of Belgian funk, some pale malt, and a touch of alcohol

Taste follows the nose pretty well. Strong upfront sour fruits- apple, grape, lemon, and a bit of cherry. Yeast and malts follow, a blast of funk along with a pale bready malt. Finishes with hints of oak and a touch of alcohol

Feel is face twisting sour, definitely 'high' on the scale. Dry finish, alcohol hidden well, not very bitter. Easy to sip

Overall my go to sour. Always delivers and always available at a decent price. A little skunkiness with this bottle I haven't had on the others. Been sitting on the shelf a little too long

A- bright gold with a thin layer of bubbles. Brilliantly clear despite sediment in bottle.

S- bright lactic sourness, light oak and a touch of grass.

T- tar and tangy, with a slightly funky sourness. No signs of bitterness or hops but some barnyard funk that blends nicely with the clean lactic sourness.

M- light and moderately carbonated, this one is refreshing.

O- a refreshing beer with some nice clean sourness and just a touch of funk. Not overly complex but an enjoyable summer sour.
