Wow! I was at my local shop (vendome) looking for a flanders red or something similar when the buyer there recommended I try this. He described it as a lemony sour, similar to a flanders style but a little bit different. He was pretty much spot on, altho there is something else in there besides the lemon. I can't put my finger on it, but this is sure tasty! The sourness def makes you pucker a little bit, and takes away from the mouthfeel slightly, as it makes for a especially dry finish. I realize this is part of the appeal, but it does keep the drinkability down a bit as well. As delicious as sour beers are, I've never been able to drink more than one or two at a sitting. (a never ending supply of la folie would likely change that)
All things aside, this is a great beer, and a very refreshing change of pace from my usual flanders red. Highly recommended for sour beer lovers, perhaps a bit much for those just crossing over.
