First dip into the sour world, besides Westbrook Gose. Wasn't really sure what to expect, but I was really impressed! I found myself wanting to smell this thing forever before I tasted it. Sour green apples were prevalent, followed by a wine or maybe white wine vinegar aroma, with a slight mustiness. The complexity of the taste is a totally new experience for me. It follows the aroma to start with, but the sour green apple skins quickly give way to a funky woodsiness, then the hops show through on the finish with a little grapefruit, along with a slight bitterness and vinegary aftertaste that makes me want to keep drinking.

My wallet is going to hate me soon trying more sours.

On tap at bulldog LA.

Pours a clear gold, with thin white fine head.

Smell is a bit of funk, and some apple notes.

Taste is fairly sour with a good amount of acidity, finishes with some funk and heavy apple and some grapefruit notes and a bit of bite.

Medium body, lots of fine carb like chanpagne, fairly dry.

Overall is tasty, complex, refreshing. Keeps me coming back for more. Wish there were other notes than the apple, kind of dominates the flavor profile. Mouthfeel is interesting, keeps the beer from being too easy drinking. Will have to try more sours.

Appearance- Light colored head quickly rises and falls. Noticeable lacing. Small ring of head remains.

Smell: Sour apple smell, some vinegar, some citrus, some hay.

Taste - This is sharply tart and sour. Probably as sour as I would want to get in a beer (my preference). But the taste is so clean and crisp. Taste citrus, lemon, grapefruit, vinegar, some apple wine flavors. They all work well together, the sourness dominates.

Mouth Feel: Nicely carbonated, light, clean, tartness lingers on the tongue.

When I want sour, this would be a great go-to beer. Perfect on a hot summers day. A little too sour for me to drink in large quantities, but so refreshing. I think that this is a great representative of the style.
