Oh what a beer to come home to on a humid night. Pours with little froth, but whos counting - I need a cold one.
Some of the funky sourness is belied in the pour, but it is not until it hits your lips, and tongue, and gums, and finally the throat with tart crispy acrid delight, that you grasp the wild passion of this ale. As it exudes through the nose after the initial sigh of pleasure, the entire esophageal passageway is filled with a sticky, cherry sweetness, evoking crests of hills in the dappled sunlight beneath the broad limbs of a massive tree. Sitting upon a checkered blanket. Dandelion cordial. Baguettes with rich and nutty cheese and fresh churned butter. Perhaps some charcuterie as well, laid out on a wooden platter with the knife glistening beside. If i've ever had a beer that has antihistamine properties, it would be this bad boy. Clears up hay fever like nobody's business.
Finishes strong, lingering on the palate in a pleasantly funky way until displaced by some well timed pickled carrots and cheese.
