Presentation: 11.2oz. brown bottle; no "best by" or "bottled on" warning; purchased for $6.99/6 from the Santa Monice Whole Foods on/near Wilshire and 21st.
Appearance: Pours a cloudy, orange-tinged, straw color; fat, billowy, snow-white head; a healthy b-cup's worth of lace; good head retention.
Aroma: Primraily of orange peel, grain and floral hops.
Taste: Lightly sweet upfront with a sour, wheat "twang" quick to follow; sizable notes of yeast, orange peel and coriander throughout; mildly bitter finish; hints of lemon and a disquieting, metallic-like quality in there, too; fairly light bodied; something of a crisp, effervescent mouthfeel.

Wittekerke has a thick, white head, and a very cloudy, lemon-yellow appearance, with bubbles streams and lots of tan chunks floating about. A bit of lacing is left behind. The aroma is of pungent, bread and yeast, with a faint citrus and sweet back note. Taste is of the strong yeast, some mint or other odd herb, wheat bread, and lots of tap water. Mouthfeel is light to medium, and Wittekerke finishes semi-dry, easy-drinking, and rather bland. It’s not too good, really.
