I originally sampled this beer on 14 November 2002. I am writing this review from my notes.
Appearance: it's Cloudy yellow, ias you would expect.
Flavor: t's an OK white beer, but nothing compared to Celis, Hoegaarden or Allagash. It doesn't have the crispness I'd expect.

Wittekerke has a thick, white head, and a very cloudy, lemon-yellow appearance, with bubbles streams and lots of tan chunks floating about. A bit of lacing is left behind. The aroma is of pungent, bread and yeast, with a faint citrus and sweet back note. Taste is of the strong yeast, some mint or other odd herb, wheat bread, and lots of tap water. Mouthfeel is light to medium, and Wittekerke finishes semi-dry, easy-drinking, and rather bland. It’s not too good, really.
