Snifter Night! Purchased 12oz bottle of this from Lukas Liquor in Ellisville, MO for $3.49. Poured from the bottle into my Schlafly Snifter glass and has a code of 40323 on the back.
Appearance- Extremely dark, has a 3 finger head that has GREAT retention! Very impressed. Leaves nice lace on the sides.
Aroma- Great tart smell from the beginning. I can definitely tell there is a spicy and fruity complexed smell as well.
Taste- The first thing I recall is a extreme amount of grape upfront, almost like a Welch's grapejuice. Very fruity and has a brown flavor at the end. Really wild! Tasty.
Mouthfeel- Medium Bodied, Light-Medium Viscosity, full taste of grape and then a nice clean feel afterwards.
Overall- WOW! Now this was a great beer I'm glad I came back to! Will be buying this again! Drinkability is easy and very different from any other Oud Bruin. I'm thinking that is why the Flanders is in front of it. Will be interested in seeing how other people react and give their two cents on this beer.

Look: amber/light brown beer that is semi-translucent
Smell: tart cherry, cider, little wood, little malt
Taste: sour cherry, some interesting spice and is lingering in the background,
Feel: crisp and grab mouthfeel, I think it fits really well, wouldn't change anything
Overall: crisp and tart, very refreshing

Poured from a 750mL into a tulip.
Pours very dark brown, but fairly clear with good effervescent head that quickly subsides leaving excellent lacing.
The aromas are simple but solid. Acidic fruited tartness (cider, cherry) with woody and just a touch of caramel malt sweetness.
Flavors of spiced apple, sour cherry, sweet plum, oak and acidic red-wine are present but muted. Although this style doesn't need to be a malic-acid bomb, this iteration seems a touch sweet and reserved.
The brew has a nice light feel, but could use more carbonation.
This is a solid delivery on a favorite style, but is a little too sweet and could use some carbonation and acid.

From notes 10/31/11: The pour is deep reddish brown but produces little more than a collar ring for a head. A delicate sour taste, super aroma and easy to drink. I regret I didn't take detailed notes on each. I'll pick up another bottle for more detailed analysis.

From a bottle. Medium brown color with a thin lacing of bubbles. Mildly sour smell. Medium feel with low carbonation. Dark malt flavors combined with fruity sour notes. An interesting mix, to be sure.

Too sour for me, this one is a weird style that I'm not really into. The astringent bacterial what have you doesn't work for me, I like a more complex character. Pass

Unknown vintage; drank 7/22/19 @ the Yarchives.
See-through purple/brown appearance.
A rough pour yielded a big khaki head; strong, frothy lace.
Tart blackberry, Merlot, oak & booze heat notes in the nose.
Medium mouthfeel.
Merlot, oak, blackberry & booze heat flavors; this was a mildly unpleasant mix.
Not one I'll return too.

Very nice, poured from bottle to tulip glass. Mahogany in color with decent carbonation and not much head to speak of. Well balanced, with lots of woody, nutty goodness against fruity and slightly tart flavors.

Poured into snifter. Barely a ring of head. Color a rich layered brown.
Dark grain, dark fruit on the nose, jelly. Incredibly balanced taste, not very sour thanks to dark malts. Mouth is slightly dry and heavy.
If I only could only drink Belgian beer for the rest of my life, I'd be very poor. And this would be a primary reason.
