My mom bought a six pack of this. She said it was so sweet and girly she didn't even bother to offer me one. Regardless, I wanted to try it anyways. Served in a pokal pilsner glass.
A: Pours a cloudy, salmon color with a short, fizzy white head that dissipates fast and has medium amounts of white lacing as well.
S: Holy shit raspberries! Extremely fruity, very, very sweet smell, as if someone dumped 20 packets of splenda into it. Reminds me of cherry 7-up.
T: As you could imagine, it is sweet as hell, strawberries and raspberries hold a massive presence on the palate. The sweetness, is sort of sickening, like an artificial sweetener type of sweetness. The fruitiness drowns out whatever tartness and other flavors that should normally be present in a framboise, wheat flavors are subtle.
M: Medium carbonation with a light body, unbalanced in terms of sweetness, way too fruity, not enough tartness, actually no tartness at all. Has a weird after taste going with it.
O: Overall, yeah its a "chick" drink. Very, very sweet and not much substance to it. Felt like I was drinking a sprite or something. It's not horrible, it was smooth and all, but unless you got a sweet tooth, this might not be up your alley. Still, to each his own, all depends on what you like.

Appearance: Pours a large head that fades quickly leaving minimal lacing
Smell: Raspberries and sugar. Not much else to speak of. Smells good, but not really very fresh and natural.
Taste: While it's generally hard for me to resist raspberries, something is off here. I don't know whether adjuncts are being used, but the sweetness is over the top and is not balanced by the typical tartness that accompanies a raspberry lambic. The taste is syrupy and odd.
Mouthfeel: Thickness is fine, but the carbonation is over the top in the finish. Somewhat sticky and lacks the dry tartness that I want from the style.
Overall: With so many good raspberry lambics out there, I can't recommend this. The raspberry flavor isn't fresh and natural, and there are no other flavors to make this work.
