12 fl oz brown glass bottle with standard pressure cap aquired at a local 7-11 and served into a Uinta pilsner glass in me gaff in low altitude Los Feliz, Los Angeles, California. Reviewed live. Expectations are average; this is me first beer from this brewery. Best before June 10th, 2013. Label art is okay. This is their flagship according to the label.

Served cold, straight from the fridge. Side-poured with standard vigor as no carbonation issues are anticipated.

A: Pours a 2.5 finger head of beige colour, okay cream, decent thickness, and average (~2 minute) retention. Body colour is a weak pale yellow; fairly dull. Transparent and translucent. The insane bubble quantity makes it appear overcarbonated; it's almost champagney. No lacing as the head recedes. Pretty bland looking.

Sm: Artificial lemon extract, artificial lime extract, pale malts, corn adjunct, straw, sugars, a bit of medicinal character, grains, and bland floral hops. Off-putting. Not at all inviting or fresh. I'm not looking forward to trying this. An average strength aroma.

T: Structurally brief, with no real depth of flavour. Bland corn and straw grains form the weak pathetic body. Some bland floral hops sit atop the foundation. Weak lemon zest - very artificial. Too sweet and sugary. Not very enjoyable at all, but luckily not watery either. Crappily balanced and poorly built.

Mf: Smooth, wet, overcarbonated. Poor presence on the palate. Not very full-bodied; empty and devoid of flavour. Doesn't suit the flavour profile well at all. Unrefreshing.

Dr: Drinkable but forgettable. Very mundane. Not worth the $2 I paid for it. I definitely wouldn't get this again; there are far better beers in the style - many of them even made by American macrobreweries. This stuff is garbage. Avoid.

For an American Made Lager Beer, this is Awesome, Delicious, its LAGER and if you know what this means, you know its quality amber type of beer and it tastes great, you wont even feel the 5% alcohol inside, its that good, i love it, and living in Northwest this is one of our most popular beer. love it.

My rating may seem a bit over-the-top, but I've decided that, in comparison with most of the commercially produced American pilsner beers, this one is quite attractive. Head and shoulders better than a typical Pudsqueezer, Millers, etc. My taste for American pilsners has been somewhat warped by the Czech, Pislner Urquel which is a magnificent example of what a commercial pilsner can be. Still, this beer is completely pleasant, easily drinkable (even for a novice) fishin' beer. AND in Utah at the liquor store it is less expensive than average (almost a buck a bottle cheaper than Pilsner Urquel).

Appearance: pours a 2+" sudsy white head that recedes quickly with mild lacing. Color is a clear straw with moderate carbonation present.
Aroma: mild aroma of lightly toasted grain and clean water
Mouthfeel: light and crisp with a mostly dry finish
Flavor: sweet barley malts (white bread) combined with a healthy hop bitterness in the middle and finish.
Overall: This is a nicely balanced and decent lager. It is more akin to Euro-style lagers than American macros in flavor.
