Pours a dark hazy brown with a light white head the cap it off. Solid 2 fingers thickness to start but quickly dispersed as expected.

Sweet and spicy greet the nose. You know its a German wheat beer with notes of banana bread, bubble gum and some clove spice but it packs quite the punch. A bit of a dark chocolate and caramel round it all off.

Plenty of bold flavor going on here. Lots of malty goodness with some caramel and chocolaty sweetness that are off set but notable spice note at first. Some banana and raisins add a fruity character. Bit of phenols as well. Alcohol is well hidden for a 12% beer.

Mouthfeel is lighter than expected but still packs it in. Nice creamy texture as it goes down. Overall, as expected, this is one great beer. Amazing how easy it is to drink for such a high ABV beer.

A: Dark maple syrup brown, cloudy, a finger of light beige head, opaque so can’t see any carbonation.

S: Very weizen like, dark fruits like dates and figs, ripe bananas, floral, black pepper, ripe banana peels, a slight fermented fruit.

T: Big weizen flavours, dark fruit, dates and figs, ripe bananas, tannic, sweet, big alcohol flavours, little bitterness. Brown sugar.

M: Thick, weighty syrupy body, medium high fine bubbled carbonation.

O: My first in this style. A strong beer that’s well done and a sipper, but very drinkable. Complex good flavours, reminiscent of a weizen.
