Drinking as I type
12 oz bottle into pint glass.
A: Dark dark reddish amber. Lots of gunk at the bottom, watch out if thats bothersome to you. Two finger head that virtually disappears. Very little lacing.
S: Phenolic, yes there is a hint of kindergarten art class paste there along with a rum and coke smell and a hint of clove and hard cider.
T: Wow there is a lot of shit going on here. Reminds me a bit of Dogfish Head's Raison D'etre, but I like this much much more. Deep dark caramel rum flavors intermingled with dried fruits and clovey spiciness.
Alcohol is strong and one is left with its warmth.
M: With a beer this high in alcohol I was expecting a light body, but what do I know? This one is medium to full bodied. A superb mouthfeel. The Germans know their Scheiße!!!
D: Very strong but if you likie sippie bier then you drink up. Ubermensch likie sippie this bier.
The story behind this beer is really cool. Read the back of the bottle. Serendipity at its finest, and reinvented to boot!!!11
