Pours a murky deep caramel brown with a solid 1 and a half inch khaki head that lingers indefinitely.
Aroma is comprised of fruity yeast esters, wheat, and caramel malt. Apple, pear, and banana are complemented by brown sugar, coriander, and clove.
There's also a citrus presence.
Yeast esters and alcohol dominate the flavor profile, which is slightly oxidized and phenolic. Pear, green apple, bubblegum, clove, and banana accompany a bready wheat and malt backbone, fairly tart, leading to a slightly peppery dry finish.
Body is slightly full, with fairly high carbonation. There's significant alcohol warmth.
A delicious brew, warming and flavorful. Expected a little more malt presence, but the esters are delicious.
