I recently took a detour to State Line on my way home from Rehoboth and checked out the place I have heard and read so much about online. It was everything I imagined and more. I have been privileged enough to get a delivery from mughugger from State line before, but my first time checking the store out really blew away my expectations. The selection is the first thing you notice. They have beer, mead, wine and liquor with a great representation from just about every country you can think of. The American and Import beers are grouped together so it makes it very easy to find exactly what you came for. I only had a short period of time to make my purchase and leave, so this was especially helpful for me.

The selection is mind blowing and exceeded my expectations in every way. I appreciate the fact that you can find a Swiss ale made w/ cocoa and belgian yeast aged for a year and an American Pale ale from the next town over in the same place. There is Braggot, mead, and the best representation of each style of beer - For example Saison Dupont, Peche Mortel, Southern Tier Unearthly and the list goes on. I appreciate the fact they have a discount card program, but I was lucky enough to be there during the American Craft beer promotion and all singles were 20% off.

The service was excellent and friendly with an easy time checking out since the staff seemed to have a handle on the vast inventory and pricing was orderly and well marked. I can't complain at all about the service and the fact you can get growlers, attend tastings and they feature particular beers like Belgian beer week and the Beer 101 happenings is just another reason to like State Line.

I found the prices to be great, I am glad I didn't have more than a short period of time to shop, because as it was I walked out w/ $65 dollars in beer, not bad for 12 bottles that I definitely would not see near York, PA, like Mikkeller and Peche Mortel. The organization of the Beer and the mead, cider and excellent wine options makes this a place I am sure I will be returning to soon. If you live in PA you know that the prices are enough to inspire a trip here alone. It was nice to view the vast inventory w/ such organization. The country grouping - Germany, Belgium, Great Britain and the U.S. all in an easy shopping fashion made my quick visit enjoyable

Has a lot of expired beer like someone said. I rated it high for the excellent tasting events they have.

Watch out for old beer!!!
Great place, huge selection and decent prices, I'll definitely be back. But I was stunned by the number of expired beers I saw. Saw multiple variety 12 packs that were 9-12 months old. I wouldn't trust anything that doesn't have a date on the bottle. Unless you're looking for an aged barleywine, etc.

Just returned from a road trip State Line and I have to admit, it really is a damn fine outlet! The staff were very helpful, they had everything I was looking for except 22oz Torpedo, which they had run out of and one of the guys actually apologized for having done so. Their web site is accurate, they have a ton of beers and a bunch of taps in the back. In all, it was well worth the 90 minute drive! Dropped $135 and came away feeling like a total winner.
