A place that's grown on me more and more each time I go, but still has yet to blow me out of the water.
From outside, looks like a bit of a dump -- once within, however, it reveals itself to have a very decent selection of brew.
It's clear that this is still primarily a wine/liquor store, but the aisle, three coolers, and the open space in front of them are well stocked, with a special attention to Belgian breweries. I was pleased to see the full DeDolle line, several Fantomes (including Black Ghost), 750s of Piraat, Cantillon (although pretty overpriced) the full Rochefort line, and many others. The 15% discount on Belgians for store members (it's free, so become one) means you'll always get a buck or two off on those beers as well, bringing them back into reasonable price range.
For domestics, it's the usual East Coast suspects, with a lot of DE beers, especially Dogfish Head, being well represented. Other breweries with several varieties on hand included Victory and Smuttynose.
I appriciated the (relatively) good selection of English pub ales, and that several vintages on Lees Harvest' could be found. Additionally, a few surprises stood out for me -- Morimoto Imperial Pilsner, for example, was a neat find...but at 15 dollars a bottle, it had to go back on the shelf.
Finally, glassware in the back is numerous and cheap. I replaced my broken Oerbier glass for only 4 bucks. Score.
All in all, if you're in the area (say, within the hour), it's worth the trip. Those looking for decent wine vintages won't be disappointed either, and I was able to find a bottle of Becherovka, a Czech liquor that I loved in college.
I think my numbers are a little inflated because this is, almost by default, the best store in the Tri-State area.
Among the best I've ever seen, or the best in the country?
Let's not get carried away.

Didn't look like much from outside, but wowzers, don't judge. The beer selection is HUGE, and you can purchase singles of EVERYTHING. Service was fantastic and extremely helpful, both over the phone and in store. Only bummer is their online inventory was wrong (no Sam Adams doppelbock in stock). They even have what appeared to be a bar or growler set up in the back. I drove 2 hours round trip to go, and it may be worth the trip again, great selection at reasonable prices.

After catching wind of SLL about a year and a half ago, with one visit I was hooked. As you've often seen mentioned in the reviews, outward impressions are highly deceiving! Once inside, the options are dizzying. Add to the fact that there is now a growler fill station, and you have icing on the cake. Of course you have your wines and spirits too if need be, but you came here for the beers, and trust me, there are plenty! Definitely my-go to around my region, even if it's a longer drive. I can generally cross off most of my at the moment checklist upon visiting here (and usually a few I didn't know I wanted until I got there!). They're well organized, and reasonably priced. The staff is knowledgeable, approachable, and willing to go the extra mile for you. One thing I have noticed is that there are some beers that tend to linger on the shelves here, and while not generally a problem (you'll see 'discount' displays from time to time), it does pay to check bottle dates sometimes if you see something that interests you, especially for something International that may not age so gracefully... That's just a minor quibble though in what is ultimately an A+ experience!

State line Liquors is about a mile from I-95 in Maryland. exit 109B of I-95 Stop here to get beers I can not get in NJ. IT is worth the trip. Plus if I go early in the morning, I can stop at the Waffle House for breakfast. same Exit except it off 109A.
theirs selection is great. this was my second trip here. I don't know the place was bigger in the back with more selections. think I spent over 30 minutes just looking to fill a six pack of single beers. If you join their club card program you can get a discount. my recent trip I saved 5% on my six pack and 10% on my single's bottle purchase. They also had a glower filling station. they had 20 beers on tap. I wish I lived closer.
The service was great help find my six packs I was looking for. and check out was fast and friendly.
