I had this place marked as a "must stop" if I was ever within 50 miles of Elkton, MD. Finally got a chance on a recent business trip through Baltimore.

Very unassuming from the outside...looks more like the back of an old garage, but, books...covers...blah! Inside, the first thing I noticed is how many workers were running around the store! They were like umpa lumpas...flying through the aisles with handcarts full of boxes...

The beer seems to be split into 2 sections...domestic craft and imports. The domestic section is awesome! The have tons of bombers and sixers (which you can break up) as well as a wall full of coolers with chilled offerings. The import section is, well, simply put, the best I have ever seen. I am no expert on imports, but I imagine that if it is imported into this country, they have it.

There were a few empty spaces on the shelves, and, when I asked, one of the umpas quickly ran into the back and promptly put out a case of the missing bottles.

I could have easily dropped a few hundred here...the selection is second to none...lives up to all the hype...this should be a "must stop" for everyone...

The only reason it doesn't get 5's across the board is the appearance of the building and some old beer, especially in the imports. Check the dates.

The selection is world class. If it is available in Maryland it looks like they have it. The employees are very nice and helpful. They even loaded my trunk up for me which was a nice bonus. The growler station is also large and diverse.

I live in Dover, DE and I will be be visiting monthly. I am willing to drive round trip 100 miles, pay tolls and sales tax to shop here.

Love this place! I've never been disappointed despite my 50 minute commute!

Finally made it down here and I was very impressed. Reasonable prices and a huge variety. The staff was super helpful searching for three items for me. They also helped cart my haul off to my car. One of the better service experiences I have had at a store in a while. Definitely making plans to come back.

Boy do I wish I lived closer to this place. Unbelievable selection. Reasonable prices although they have gone up recently. Helpful staff members always available. Perhaps the best bottle shop in the state of MD.

State Line, what a mythical creature! Finally I am in you… but who would know as you pull into the parking lot and peer at the ramshackle building full of cheap signs and garish neons. It doesn’t matter- once you’re inside and find the beer, you will be in massive awe.

12 different Bruery brands, the entire Southern Tier lineup, Old Stock 2011 Brandy, Amager and To Ol from Scandinavia, Emelisse and more Evil Twin than I even thought possible. And I’m only talking about the rarer stuff!

Prices are reasonable, service is super nice. They have a growler bar. It’s as good as you thought, and then some.

Has a lot of expired beer like someone said. I rated it high for the excellent tasting events they have.

Watch out for old beer!!!
Great place, huge selection and decent prices, I'll definitely be back. But I was stunned by the number of expired beers I saw. Saw multiple variety 12 packs that were 9-12 months old. I wouldn't trust anything that doesn't have a date on the bottle. Unless you're looking for an aged barleywine, etc.

Just returned from a road trip State Line and I have to admit, it really is a damn fine outlet! The staff were very helpful, they had everything I was looking for except 22oz Torpedo, which they had run out of and one of the guys actually apologized for having done so. Their web site is accurate, they have a ton of beers and a bunch of taps in the back. In all, it was well worth the 90 minute drive! Dropped $135 and came away feeling like a total winner.
