Small selection but well curated. Predominantly a wine shop and nothing "behind the counter", but found several excellent bottles

Third stop of five yesterday in SM, just three blocks from Fireside Cellars on the opposite side of the street, corner of 11th Ave., walked in and immediately noticed Avery Reverend for about five dollars, Damnation for $8.49, Alesmith X and IPA, Bear Republic Hop Rod Rye and Racer 5, several Fullers products, a couple Anderson Valley six packs, Maredsous, all the Chimays, various Lost Coast products, and lots of Samuel Adams, man working there was nice and I asked him a few questions about him getting other Russian River or Avery products and his answer was "no," I did not buy anything here because it was all pretty commonplace, prices were decent though and I would not have hesitated if I would have found something that caught my eye, place was clean and have no complaints about the quality, might stop here again if in area, best liquor store I saw on Montana but Whole Foods down the way a little definitely has a bigger and better selection

Smallish old school liquor store on Montana Ave in Santa Monica.

Brightly light, clean place that in recent years has been upgrading themselves along with the neighborhood.

As time has passed this store has started to carry more and more bottles of high class wine (cleanly presented in wooden racks) and less beer. But what beer they have is generally choice although not the widest selection and about 100 miles from having much obscure.

Definate attraction to this place for the beer hunter in us is the location a half block up from Father's Office.

An establishment that has served Santa Monica since the 1950's. Kudos for that in itself. The name boggles the mind. I did not know Santa Monica would have anything to do with duck hunting. At night the sign has a neon duck flapping its wings.

This is a medium sized liquor store. It is plain and clean. That is about it for decor.

They sell wine as their primary product. A very good selection of spirits. There is also a small humidor. Not the walk in style though.

As far as beer is concerned they carry a few craft beers along with some imports. North Coast, Firestone, Samuel Smith's, and a few others. They carry nothing that is obscure or unique as far as any other liquor stores are concerned. It could be a good quick stop if one happens to be in the neighborhood. But then again there is a Pavillion's just down the street with a better selection.

The employees are nice and helpful. Very friendly. Hopefully this place will start to carry more imports and craft brews. Only time will tell about this establishment.
