Appearance: Orangish/goldish; small head, dissipates quickly; effervescent
Aroma: Light alcohol and malt; wild grass smell
Taste: Malty and creamy on start, sweet mid with a sweet finish; not much hop balance, but not bad overall
Remarks: Did not score A, T, S, M at that time; disregard those scores

Pours dark brown in color with a bigger, stable head.
Smells of bread, bakers chocolate entangled malts and a subtle leaf addition.
Has a good balance to it with a smoother mouthfeel, while the beer itself drinks easy and light with a lively carbonation.
Tastes of dry leaves, lighter bitter chocolate and glazed caramel. Turns a tad dryer then with a more prominent bitterness blending into the lively, yet soft carbonation, toning down the maltiness effectivly. Finishes with an enjoyable crispness and a great interplay between caramel malts and dry hops.
This is a huge and utmost pleasant surprise to me. The beer itself clocks in well below 5 abv and packs an incredibly nuanced and well working interplay between dry hops and sweeter, slightly rustic malts.

Tallboys are easy to find all around Iceland. From the can, I thought it was a mildly complex and smooth Euro pils. Pouring it into a glass, I was shocked to see it had a reddish hue and some apparent presentations toward being a Vienna Lager.
Smells grassy with light hints of medium roasted barley. Tastes exactly like it smells. only the slightest hints of hops and plenty of weedy aftertaste. It's not an undrinkable beer at all--I had no problem downing several of them at a music festival--but it's not very well brewed for the style. Still... I dunno, it manages to pack a decent amount of inoffensive flavor into a low ABV beer, and that's worth an okay score in my book.

Pours a reddish brown almost copper hue with a 2 finger foamy off white head that leaves little soapy lacing. A thin residue remains on the surface. You smell sweet malt immediately which is quickly overpowered by grain. Taste is slightly watery and with little malt sweetness or bitterness. I guess it could be described as balanced, but really not much there. Mouthfeel is the same, pretty thin. It's drinkable i suppose because it doesn't taste like much. Looks and smells better than it tastes.

A: Started out really well with a two finger head, but quickly dissipated down to almost nothing. very minimal lacing. The beer itself is not the best color at a brown-gold.
S: Smell is not too impressive either. It is somewhat faint and one toned.
T: Tastes like good heavy brewed tea . It is weird to say, but that is what it reminds me of. It has a slightly malty aftertaste.
M: Descent. The carbonation is not too abrupt and it will enter the mouth smooth.
D: Moderate ease to drink with only a slight coating of the tongue from the drink.

This beer has a somewhat hoppy aroma that I found to be very pleasant, but a less bitter taste than expected. Very clean tasting beer that didn't taint my palate. The aftertaste is fresh and slightly bitter from the hops. At only 4.4% it is a peasant and very drinkable dinner beer.

Carl's special we purchased also on our way to the amalienborg in Kobenhavn.
There's nothing special to this beer, really. it's just a lager that pours sort of amber, but smells like a lager and tastes like a lager. Sure, it's drinkable but, bleh, no magic. for the price you should just stick to regular carlsberg while in denmark.
