Reviewed based on tasting notes from a blind pale ale tasting.

12 oz. bottle inside a paper bag poured into a plastic tasting cup.

A- Slightly hazy light amber.

S- Similar to taste.

T- Tropical, juicy, fruit forward hops. Citrus notes as well. Malts add some balance, but dominated by hops bitterness.

M- Clean and crisp mouthfeel.

O- Great brew! Like the little pale ale brother to Sculpin. Not sure if the wheat played much of a role in the success of this beer, so it could be considered off style.

A: Golden with a bit of haze. Fluffy, big-bubbled, slightly rocky, white head. Not much for retention, but leaves a few splotches of lace.

S: Citrus hops – soft grapefruit & tangerine. Light crystal malt sweetness and some faint wheat. Not a huge variety going on, but very okay for strength.

T: Perhaps more pale ale than wheat. Solid malt backbone with pale perhaps just a step ahead of doughy, somewhat generic & clean wheat. Fair bit of bitterness with a Cascade & Centennial hop character of grapefruit and orange/tangerine. More fruit than rind. Underlying light malty sweetness enhances fruit perception. Not all that complex, but robust and tasty with loads of nice character.

M: Medium body with expansive & mouth-filling carbonation. Fairly quenching & refreshing. Good feel for its abv & style.

D: A nice hoppy pale wheat ale. A tad shy on the wheat part, but it makes up for it with the hops. Tasty and drinkable. A very stand up offering for the hotter summer months, but okay any time.

A-Clear yellow-orange, not much carbonation, two finger head that tries to leave behind some lacing, but can not.

S-Some citrus and grapefruit. Some grass and wheat as well.

T-Nice blend of wheat with citrus and grassy hops. Mild bitterness. However as it warms the beer starts to go downhill.

M-Light in body and highly carbonated.

O-A good beer but as it warms the flavors do not mesh as well, which is the main fault I have with this beer.

Had this a couple of times on my camping trip to Lake George.

Straight from the bottle but also poured sometimes into a plastic cup (hey, it's camping!).

Appearance: An orange body with a thick and insistent head.

Smell: Citrus hops with some mild wheat.

Taste: The hops really hit me not in a bitter way (though there is some of that) but with a really good orange/tangerine flavor. Some good tasting here.

Mouthfeel: Active carbonation and a strong, balanced body.

Overall: Definitely worth checking out. This really surprised me and packs a good flavorful punch.

Adirondack just started bottling, and the label on my beer bottle labels this as and "Unfiltered American Wheat Ale," not an American Blonde. Read this keeping that label in mind.

A: Poured from a 12oz. bottle into a pint glass. Hazy, yellow straw color with a 1-finger head and a decent amount of frothy lacing.

S: Hoppy. Centennial and Cascade hops keep this beer smelling more like an IPA than a wheat. Some grass notes with a touch of citrus, spice, and a fresh baked bread.

T: Pine hop character up-front with a mellower nut bread flavor on the swallow. This tastes like the bastard child of an IPA and a Wheat... not bad, just not what you'd expect. Pine Tar, allspice, cracked grains, and a walnut finish are what I taste.

M: A touch thin on the finish, but clean and crisp in the mouth.

O: This is a tasty, sessionable beer... but it's not really something that fits nicely into the "American Wheat Ale" variety. This is a wheat beer for hopheads.
