Got a growler of this at Westmere Beverage in Guilderland on 5/4/12. Consumed that night with a friend. Review from notes.
A: Body is coppery-amber with a 1-finger ivory-colored head. Leaves behind good lacing.
S: Spicy rye is evident, along with some minerally hops. Also something that seems slightly "off" at first impression, but that might just be the interplay between the rye and the hops.
T: Overall impression is that it's kind of light, flavor-wise. Spicy rye malt is obvious, but not overwhelming. The spiciness plays well with a generic hop bitterness at the finish keeping things clean.
M: Light-to-medium in heft. Nice creaminess to the feel adds to this one.
O: Good stuff. Doesn't drink like a 7.5% beer, that's for sure.
